Animals tend to eat a lot faster when they are hungry. They have been craving for the food so long that when it is prevented in front of them they simply begin to ravish their meal. What you need to do is feed your dog their fill at least twice per day. If you short change the animals fill he will be hungry all day and when it's time to feed you can be sure he will be sucking down a couple of those dried foods.
2. Don't Feed Your Grown Dog Puppy Food
Puppy dried foods are much smaller than that of a grown dog's dried food. What this means is that it will be much more difficult for large dogs to chew and may tend to pick and swallow much more than the regular dog food. You don't want these tiny puppy foods stucking in places which will harm your dog.
3. Oil Your Dog Food
One of my personal remedy for dog choking on dried food is to douse the dried food with healthy fish or coconut oil. Ensure those crunchers are nice and oily. Not only will your dog enjoy this more, you wont find clumps of sucked down chow stucking in the dogs throat because of the oily dried foods.
What To Do If Your Dog Is Choking and Cannot Correct By Himself
If you see your dog choking to the point where the animal is beginning to suffer, quickly open the animals mouth to see if you can see anything stuck there. Hold up the animals rear so the dog's nose is pointing to the floor and slap the upper part of the animals back. This could help to loosen the throat clogged with dog food.
What i recommend is to also mix the food you give your dog, you can give the dog dried and wet food together, this will reduce the chance of dried clogging the animals throat.
