Domesticate Pet Cats Origin
Domesticated Cats Origin
Even though this question has supposedly been answered on many websites, it seems as though somehow the reason given bares no substance or logic to many readers.  According to some answers given on the internet, Domesticated cats all come from wildcats called Felis silvestris lybica that originated in the Fertile Crescent in the Near East Neolithic period and in ancient Egypt in the Classical period.

"Based upon studies conducted, It is believed that the Domestication of cats took place in two strains. But the common ancestor is the North African and Southwest Asian Wildcat. Felis silvestris lybica (Ottoni and others 2017). By studying ancient cat DNA from all over the world, the researchers found that cat domestication began in the Fertile Crescent (in the Neolithic period) and accelerated later in ancient Egypt (in the Classical period) (Ottoni and others 2017)."

But why do we see cats all over the world being domesticated? Where did all these domesticated pet cats come from and how did the people manage to tame all these cats we see worldwide? Well the story goes like this. There was once a massive rodent problem, apparently worldwide and cats were brought in on boats to kill the rats and put an end to their rodent raids. The cats ended up doing a pretty good job but lost interest in the taste of rat meat and decided that it was better to live in house and served tuna, and other delicacies that came with being domesticated. But you have to understand the massive amount of cats that would have been needed to quell this rodent issue. Someone must have been in-house breeding these animals by the thousands to have them shipped worldwide. Yes, that evidence exist today as you can see the different variation of cat breeds.

Domesticated cats were created in labs just like the different variation of dogs. Let us understand something about nature and how nature naturally works, Nature does not do massive significant changes according to popular belief. All we have to do is take a look around and your eyes will show you proof. Nature creates different variation of species, plants and animals. But the common factor still remains the same in all the species. The variation created by nature serves some logical purpose. But variation created by men serves monetary and self-fulfillment purposes.
The Different variation in domesticated cats do not serve logical nature given purposes but the pleasure of man solely. So in my humble belief, I believe that domesticated cats were created by dissecting several strands from large wild cats such as leopards, tigers, lions, cougars etc. to create a much smaller and controllable animal.
