7.Beethoven
When the family of George Newton (Charles Grodin) decides to adopt a cute St. Bernard puppy, the patriarch soon feels displaced by the dog. Before long, the adorable canine, dubbed Beethoven, has grown considerably, leading to household mishaps. While George's wife and kids dote on Beethoven, it takes time for him to see the pooch's finer qualities. However, Beethoven's life with the Newton family is jeopardized when a scheming vet (Dean Jones) tries to nab the dog for a deadly experiment. Beethoven has been  television hit from April 3, 1992. A nice comedic film that had the name of the dog on every bodies lips during the Beethoven era.

Old Yeller is based on the novel by Fred Gipson, Old Yeller is set in Texas in 1869. While his father is away on a cattle drive, 15-year-old Travis Coates (Tommy Kirk) takes over management of the family farm. But while fighting off a mad wolf, Yeller is Infected with rabies. Though Yeller seems unaffected at first, he eventually behaves so viciously that the disheartened Travis has no choice but to shoot the dog. However, Knight may have been influenced by another female collie named Lassie, featured in the 1859 story "The Half-brothers" written by British writer Elizabeth Gaskell. "The Half-brothers" is a short, sentimental story in which a female border collie named Lassie, loved only by her young master, saves the day.

3. Scoobie Doo
This is definitely one of the best classic series in animation. You had four kids (the hunk, the beauty, the smart chick and the supposed stoner) joined by a huge cowardly dog who go around solving mysteries all over the country in a green, flower covered van. This show was so funny that it still watchable today. Forget the latter versions with all the stupid members of Scooby's family (Scooby Dum and of course that insufferable brat Scrappy). The people loves Scooby and Scooby loves the people. Definitely worth being number three on this list.

2. Dog With a Blog

A family adopts a dog named Stan in the hope that two feuding step-siblings will bond over the pet. It works when the siblings soon find out that that the dog can talk and write. The family goes through a lot of dumb family stuff, which seems like the kids have more brain than the parents. What ever events unfold, the dog would enter those events on his much read blog.

1. Snoopie

Snoopy is one of the most incredible animals around. He's been a writer, an astronaut, a baseball player and even a scout troop leader for Woodstock and his friends. Now, Namco Bandai and Smart Bomb Interactive is taking Peanuts fans into the wild blue yonder with Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron.

The Tale of a Dog's Tail

There once was a dog name Tally that had a marvelous tail.
He would wiggle it when ever he was fed from a pail
Tally loved his tail and it followed him where ever he goes
But where will tally be next? Nobody knows
So wiggle your tail Tally,  Wiggle you tail
A sweet dog, a strong tail, that will prevail.

OK, put aside my bad poetry skills and lets look at some more serious stuff such as the importance of your Dog's tail. Dogs do use their tales and as a matter of fact it serves them quite well in many instances. Their tale is not just there as piece of decoration sticking from the rear of the dog, it does serve its purpose. So lets look at a few.

USES OF A DOG'S TAIL

1. Balance
Many dogs are good runners and often time does just that, run. The tail on a dog during running is used to help him maintain balance when running at above pace and turning corners. The tail in a sense helps the dog from actually skidding around those corners he may be running. So by manueving his tail according to his movement, he is able to stay on all fours and not tumble out in the middle of the street when chasing your neighbors cat.

2. Express Emotion
If you have a dog, you will notice the different speed in tail wags. These different speeds actually represent the mood of the dog at that very moment. If you are a good owner and when ever you have arrived home from work or anywhere else for that matter, your dog will be quick to greet you and you will notice how his tail is wagging quickly. His emotions at this point is happiness and excitement brought upon by him being ecstatic you are home.  It is the same that applies to when you are about to feed him. Dogs just love to eat and get excited when you feed or about to feed them. Notice that rapid tail wagging again. Well just like how he will wag his tail rapidly when excited and happy, when he is scared he will cower and bend his tail between his legs. They also hide the tail between the legs when they are submissive.

3 Rear End Protection
We all know that dogs and other animals rear end is a very sensitive place and is literally opened up to the environment. The tail on a dog can also be used to wag away undesirables that me try to land on or occupy that sensitive area.
Female dogs do this as to not being sniffed by males who  of course want to copulate. So female dogs use the tail to block her self from being sniffed by male dogs.

4.Spreading Their Scent

Yep, if you had the sensitive nose of a dog you would know who which dog is around the block as he walks with his tail in the air and gently wags it. They do this to also mark territory. You could call this the urine backup scent.

So you see how important the tail is on your dog and what he uses it for
This E book is a great way to start learn your dog some essential training skills. Easy and quite comprehensible. Dog Training Made Easy

How To Tell If Your Baby Is Allergic To Dog

Kids love animals, and the great thing is that most animals love children. But before you go out seeking a permanent dog for your home you should also consider the factor that your baby or child me have an allergic reaction around pet dogs. Before getting a permanent dog, it is better to expose your infant to a canine so that you will see if there are any form of negative reactions health wise. Here are some tell tale signs that you or your child maybe allergic to having a pet dog.

Pet Dander The Cause of Allergies
Pet dander is composed of tiny, even microscopic, flecks of skin shed by cats, dogs, rodents, birds and other animals with fur or feathers.  These bits of skin can cause reactions in people who are specifically allergic to these triggers. Even though this is the main cause of pet allergies, there are other sources of allergies from these beloved pets, such as the saliva, urine and feces.

Some Common Symptoms of Pet Allergy

Runny Nose

If your child is allergic to dog dander, it can trigger off a negative reaction by sending histamines into babies’ bloodstreams allowing a buildup of fluids in the nasal passages. We know that fluid as mucus and you will see a constant running of mucus once that dander is inhaled. Studies at The University of Maryland Medical Center reports that animal allergies represent one form of perennial allergic rhinitis, whose classic symptom is a runny nose. Nasal drainage with no fever present may indicate dog allergies in infants.

Nasal Congestion
Of course, with that constant runny nose will come a stuffy nose. This is generally caused by nasal congestion and irritation of the nostrils. Once these signs are observed without bringing the cold or flu symptoms, it is usually a sign of dog allergy due to dander.

Skin Rash Development
We know that our babies skin are quite sensitive and has not fully developed a strong immune system to fight off many infections and allergic reactions. If your baby skin has experienced direct contact with the dog dander, you may notice that red rashes have developed which may be itchy at times. Some reactions may cause irregular bumps on the child's skin.

Nose Rubbing
The mucus membrane may also become quite itchy during the allergic reactions and you may also notice a constant rubbing of the nose by the child to sooth that itchy membrane.  If you begin to notice a lot of nose rubbing in a upward movement by your child, it may be caused by those dog allergies.

Eye Rubbing
Constant rubbing of the eyes could also be triggered by dog allergies. Infants who have had physical contact through petting dogs or from dogs licking their hands, and who then rub their eyes, may be spreading allergens in that manner, too.

Sneezing
Histamines in the blood also trigger the sneezing reflex in humans. Congestion and sneezing in babies may obstruct breathing to form one of the more obvious signs of infant allergy. According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, sneezing that takes place only after contact with dogs may indicate pet allergy problems. Sneezing that continues after removing a dog from the home doesn’t necessarily indicate an absence of sensitivity, because dog dander can remain in indoor environments for months.
