Mother Earth
You know, many of us humans have really not treated animals with care and compassion here on Earth. There have been so many atrocities which animals have borne and continue to bear. Over the decades, mankind has seen to it that certain animals become extinct or on the brink of becoming extinct. Simply because it pleases man to hunt and kill for sport. Mankind is the only mammal that hunts and kill for fun and not food, which makes him one of the most evil on the planet. Animals can't defend themselves on this fate and hence we has humans have to fight the survival fight for them. But before we look at how we can save animal lives, we have to know how our animals live become endangered in the first place. Let's take a look.
Poaching
This has been a concern for decades. Men will hunt and kill endangered species such as elephants and rhinos for their horns or tusk to be sold on the black market for huge profits. Imagine, killing an entire elephant to simply cut his tusk off. Other animals have been poached upon such as tigers and cheetahs. These animals are killed for their beautiful skin. Many more animals have become extinct by this greedy means even though it is illegal and one can face hefty prison sentence for poaching. But the black market is ever strong and it's always the money that talks.
Habitat Destruction
The natural forest and jungles in many countries are being destroyed at this very movement. Wildlife faces the danger of dying out simply because they have nowhere to live. Habitat destruction is cause by many factors, one of which includes construction and development. Can you really believe that people think that development means brick buildings and cutting down trees? That thinking is backwards. Large corporations will buy massive lands to build factories, malls and shopping complexes. These lands are normally part of the general ecosystem which is home to many animals. Once these money "hoggers" come in with bulldozers and massive destruction machines, they will not only kill the animals’ habitat, but even the animals themselves.
Forest Fire
whether by act of nature or act of man, forest fires are a bad thought for animals. Fire can burn for days, sucking up any and everything in its path. Causing the death of hundreds of animals and destroying their homes. As an act of nature, that is just something which we cannot control. But as an act of man, we need to educate people more about starting fires in woods, or simply flickering a lit cigarette but which has been the cause of many fires.
Animal Cruelty
Dog and cock fights are big underground money makers and people will buy and raise dogs just for these deadly dog fights. When these animals become badly injured in these fights and have no more use to the owner, the animal is then discarded like a piece of dirty cloth. Discarded means the animal is usually killed by its owner.

What You Can Do To Protect Animal Lives
There are many Wild Life Organizations such as:
that sole purpose is the protection and well-being and survival of Animals. They have committed time and money into seeing that the rights of wildlife is protected and preserved. You can volunteer your service at many Animal protection organizations. Many of them will also take donation as the work they do many times requires out of pocket expenses.
You can protect wildlife and even pets by reporting any form of abuse you see mitigating against animals to the nearest authority. Report small forest fires immediately! Encourage people around to be friendly to animals. Sign petitions to block certain development that will destroy the ecosystem.
The balance of sustained life on earth is not only on the human side, but all living things combined are made from the same energy. Trees, people, animals, rivers. It is our duty to ensure we preserve that flowing energy by protecting our entire environment.
