Why I Prefer Animals
Every living species on Earth are faced with some kind of problem. A problem which sometimes worked out on its own, a problem fixed by the life the problem affects or a problem which is fixed by a third party intervention. Take the tree for example. A tree is a living breathing thing with its own problems. What problems you ask that a tree has? Well, let us begin the count.
Forest Fires
Forest Fires
- Trees are faced with destruction of forest fires started by nature, reckless ness of man, or intentionally. Fires can destroy millions of acres of plant life in the blink of an eye.
- Tress are always at the risk of being cut down to make way for some development or simply to use in manufacturing.
- Need I say more? Hurricanes can root out certain trees and also flatten forest.
Wild Animals
An animal such as an elephant has his share of problems to deal with. Elephants are hunted and killed for
Their tusk. Hey are also captured and used in circuses.
Mankind.
Mankind has so much problem you would have to create at least for bibles to record them all. But the big difference between mankind problems and the problems of animals is that animal problems are either created by mankind or nature. Most of mankind problems are manufactured by mankind themselves. The hearts of animals and the heart of man are just two different things. If you have an kind of pet or involved in the care and nursing of any animal you would have learnt that.
Animals will kill for two basic reason: Food and Self Defense. Mankind basically kills for recreation, money, being classist, racist and everything else which spews nastiness. There is no big religious sector in the animal kingdom where they go worship and then slaughter people who don’t see things their way. But leave that up to mankind to ace that game. Mankind has a jealous and vicious heart and seldom loves his brother much less people who look different. Meanwhile an animal will love and be loyal to you till it dies.
Earth Care
Mankind classify some animals as being dumb. But the dumbest animal living on this plane is us. Animals understand the link between having a good Earth to live on and themselves. They are one with nature. Man on the other hand could care less what kind of Earth he lives on, as long as he has money in his pocket and a bottle of whine in his hand everything is OK. We pollute and we destroy natural environment to build casinos and other unethical buildings.
For a species which is suppose to show and exercise great intelligence we seem to really be 'monkying' up everything. There are many people who prefer animals over humans for various reasons. Some believe animals are quite loyal and simply will not betray their trust. Others believe they are at their best wen they are around animals. Some even believe they were an animal in their past life.
But I prefer animals because they are quite interesting and you can learn from them everyday. They live a simple life which works. Why do you prefer animals over humans?
