Prevent pet runover
Dog run over drive way
This is a very sad truth which has happened to many pet owners.  The owner either pulls into the garage or driveway and ends up hurting or killing their own pet. Or  the owner reverses out of the driveway or garage while the pet sleeps cuddly under the vehicle and then ends up under the wheels.  Not only is this heartbreaking, this is devastating and for many pet owners, places a psychological burden on their minds for a very long time. So what should pet owners do to avoid such a horrible situation?

1. Look Before you Move
If you have small dog or cat, ensure that the animal is nowhere near the automobile while you move it.

2. Cain or Secure Pet Temporarily
If you are pulling out of garage or driveway and you have frisky pets that will run up and down, ensure that you secure the animal safely away from the vehicle.

3. Put the Animal in vehicle while Pulling In or Out
You can be certain that dog or cat will not be under the wheels while it is inside the car with you. After you have pulled out, simply take the dog back in.

4. Put a little Food in Bowl To Distract
You can also put a little food in the dog's bowl to distract him/her from the vehicle while you back out. Your pet would be way too busy chowing down to realize that you are even gone.

Safety is a Must
Remember, you don't want to live through this horrific situation. Always practice safety when ever you are moving your vehicle and have pets running around. Ensure that the way is clear before rolling those wheels.

What To Do if it Happens
if the animal is injured, pick it up gently and head to the nearest vet. If the run over is terminal, then the only thing left is burial.
