Choosing The Right Pet Insurance Plan

Pet Insurance Plan
What is Pet Insurance?
If you have health insurance, then just substitute yourself for a dog and voila! That is also pet insurance. Any health insurance is basically a guarantee, a standby in case document or a discounted health document. Discounted means that a portion of the cost to cover medical needs is covered by the insurance document. A pet insurance document is no different. Many of these documents have just as much stipulation as any human health insurance document.  The only difference is that it covers pets and premiums may be cheaper depending on the policy type and policy provider.

How to Choose the Right Pet Insurance
I always tell my readers that having a pet is not much different than having to care for yourself or a child. The pet will have needs and you will have to fulfill them. The pet may also have needs it does not know it needs but that is where you the owner comes in. You will satisfy those needs for your pet and one of those needs is to choose the right Pet Insurance for your Cat, Dog, Horse, Pig, Ferret, whatever animal you choose to be your pet. So what really is the right pet insurance and what does this kind of insurance covers? Good question my friend, well let’s answer that the best way we know how.

Which Animals are covered by Pet Insurance?
Most animals will be covered by pet insurance. But let’s be realistic, not all animals will have or will enjoy the same coverage as others. This will depend on the characteristics of the animal, where the animal is kept, previous and present health of the animal, type of animal and of course the animals nature. Any insurance looks at risk as part of their policy plan. The riskier your pet, the higher the cost of the pet insurance may be. When pet insurance looks at risk, they look at the overhead cost that the animal may bear and how frequent. So let’s say you are insuring a very aggressive dog that had a past of biting a few people. If the pet insurance has that information the cost be higher than insuring an easy going toy dog. You will have to negotiate with some of these pet insurance providers and work out the best possible coverage for your animal.

Animals covered by pet insurance include:
  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Ferrets
  • Birds
  • Equine
  • Snakes
  • Pigs
  • Etc.

Pet Insurance Plan
What Does The Basic Pet Insurance Cover?
The items listed below are what most pet insurance will offer, but it is not a guarantee that the pet insurance company will offer all. Some will offer just about the same or even more.

Accidents
When people think accident they normally think cars. But your pet can be in any situation that has caused damage to the animal which is considered an accident. The right Pet Insurance policy will cover this.

Diagnostic Treatment
A diagnostic test is any kind of medical test performed to aid in the diagnosis or detection of disease. Diagnostic tests can also be used to provide prognostic information on people with established disease.

Illnesses
Any kind of treatment for diseases which the animal may have come on.
  • Hereditary Conditions
  • Congenital Conditions
  • Chronic Conditions
  • Cancer
Hospital Care
  • X-Rays, Blood Tests, Ultrasounds
  • Surgery
  • Prescription Medications
  • Emergency Care
  • Specialty Care
  • Alternative Treatment

Pet Insurance Exclusions
There may be some things which the pet insurance does not cover, this may include preexisting conditions, preventative care such as vaccinations and tick and flea prevention or dental care. Ensure that you speak to the pet insurance provider about what the insurance does not cover. Remember that a insurance plan for a dog or cat may be different. You can save money by asking for a multi pet insurance if you have more than one pet to insure.

Coping With The Loss of a Pet

Picture
Loosing a pet is devastating. When I lost my pet cat named Tiger I was broken. I could not come to just replacing her as though she was a torn shirt or broken car. She was special to me. Even my two dogs were sad when they realized that the cat was not there on the veranda anymore annoying them.  I was strong and I got through loosing Tiger by various means. I had videos and pictures of her which I viewed each time the sad feeling came over me, and I still had two other pets to love and care for. But for those who find it extremely difficult to cope with the loss of a pet, there are various avenues you can approach which will help you get through your time of grieving.

Pet Grief Counseling
Persons who have lost their pets can sign up for pet grief counseling. It is no different than if you were being counseled if you had lost a human loved one. When you go to a pet grief council, you get to talk about the loss as this is one of the best methods to get over your grief. This counseling provides confidential emotional support to anyone who is affected by the loss of a pet Even if pet loss is  anticipated due to , planned euthanasia, natural death or other circumstances like theft or attack.  You can be sure to find people who are going through the exact same thing you are going through and are also willing to share their story.

It does not matter they type of pet which is passed away. Whether it be the death of dog or grieving for your cat. You can be sure to find some comfort at the pet grief counseling sessions.

But not all people are willing to share the loss of their pets with complete strangers and prefer to grieve in silence. That is understood and respected. When love is loss the only person who really feels and understand what you are going through is you. Remember that your pet loved you as much as you loved it. It would want to see you joyful, smiling and happy again.

Make Money Pet Blogging
Make Money Pet Blogging
There are so many blogs available online today, many are pretty cool and offer valuable information on various topics.  Some of the more lucrative niche blogs are technology, finance, food, travel and medical. One of the more difficult niche to break into and actually make any form of money is a pet blog. Especially if you plan to micro niche the pet blog and focus strictly on one particular animal such as a dog or cat. There are so many dog bloggers online trying to make money with their pet blog. Some have done pretty well, some are still taking off and some just haven't got that nudge yet. But note, it is never going to be an easy road creating and maintaining a pet blog, especially if you plan on making money from it. There are certain characteristics which pet bloggers must have to maintain these kinds of blogs. Unless you hire writers to create all your articles.

Pet Bloggers Characteristics

  • Pet Bloggers must love animals.
There is no way you cannot have a natural love for animals and decide to create a blog about animals or a particular animal and keep up the zest and zeal to keep going.
  • Pet bloggers must have/had or work with Pet(s)
So you are writing about dogs, what is you natural experience with dogs? How does your dog behave and do you actually experience emotions from your own dog or cat before you start your article about pet and emotions?

So now that you know what it takes to become a pet blogger, let's look at step by step procedures to follow in creating your blog.

Steps To Begin Your Pet Blog

  1. You will need a website.
  2. You will need to purchase a domain name like,  www.myownpetblog.com
  3. You will need this domain name to be hosted somewhere.
  4. You will need to plan a design and layout of your blog in your head.
  5. Learn Search Engine Optimization for your blog.
  6. Begin to write unique and engaging content.
The Easiest Way to Create a Website. Weebly.com
Weebly offers domain name creation and allows you to even create a free website! My own pet blog is hosted on weebly. They have beautiful themes and templates available to create the best sites available.
When you create you blog don't get the idea that money will come pouring out from your computer into your pocket. It is going to take time and handwork before you even begin to make money for coffee. So if you are in for a get rich thing, read no further, try something else. In order for your blog to make money it will need a mix of things below:

1. Traffic
You simply can't make enough money with a handful of people or no one at all visiting your blog. Traffic is essential and more so targeted traffic.  Targeted traffic is when people do a deeper search through a search engine and end up on a site with detailed specifics of that search. So let's say your blog focuses on mating porcupines in southern Australia.  If someone does that search by using the same set of keywords and end up on your blog, that is regarded as targeted traffic.

2. Advertisement
So now that you have built a following, you will need to start making money on your pet blog. You can do this by placing ads on your blog. There are many ad networks to choose from which offer contextual ads or ads relevant to your website content. One of the many talked about ad networks is Google's AdSense. You will need to sign up with Google to activate an AdSense account. They can deny or grant you access, whatever they choose. But I would suggest that before you do, ensure that you have a fully functioning blog online. The blog must have sufficient content to be called useful or informative. Your blog should be at least 6 month old. After you have met all this criteria, then you visit AdSense and sign up for an account.  You will then get codes to be placed on your website to display ads. Each ad clicked by a unique visitor gives you money. There are other ad networks beside google like media.net, adcash, chitika etc.

3. Sell Your Own Product
If you want to make money pet blogging you can design and even sell your own product through your blog. Whether it be Shirts, Pins, dog clothes, dog collars etc. You can even create Ebooks and sell through your pet blog.

4. Sell Other Peoples Product
This is called affiliate marketing. You can sign up for an affiliate network and sell related products and earn a commission off your sales.

5. Get Your Pet Famous
If your pet becomes internet famous, large corporations may approach you to advertise their product on your blog which will be seen by your thousands or millions of followers. These followers spell revenue for them.

6. Blog On Other Blogs
One way to really drive traffic to you own blog is to do guest blogging on other blogs. How this helps is that you create a link back to your own blog which people will go to after reading your unique and interesting blog post.

Social Media Essential To Any Blog

If you want to increase traffic and the popularity of your pet blog, you will definitely need social media. Billions of people use social media sites daily and do trillions of shares and likes which your pet blog will need. Once you have that website up and running, ensure that you create social media pages linking to article on your blog. Have great pictures to share also.

Conclusion
Making money pet blogging is quite doable. But it will take determination and love for what you do.  If you have the vim, vigor and vitality to begin this journey I encourage you. It is a journey that will allow you to grow in the pet world, meet like minded people and of course, make money doing what you love. Happy pet blogging.
