Loosing a pet is devastating. When I lost my pet cat named Tiger I was broken. I could not come to just replacing her as though she was a torn shirt or broken car. She was special to me. Even my two dogs were sad when they realized that the cat was not there on the veranda anymore annoying them.  I was strong and I got through loosing Tiger by various means. I had videos and pictures of her which I viewed each time the sad feeling came over me, and I still had two other pets to love and care for. But for those who find it extremely difficult to cope with the loss of a pet, there are various avenues you can approach which will help you get through your time of grieving.

Pet Grief Counseling
Persons who have lost their pets can sign up for pet grief counseling. It is no different than if you were being counseled if you had lost a human loved one. When you go to a pet grief council, you get to talk about the loss as this is one of the best methods to get over your grief. This counseling provides confidential emotional support to anyone who is affected by the loss of a pet Even if pet loss is  anticipated due to , planned euthanasia, natural death or other circumstances like theft or attack.  You can be sure to find people who are going through the exact same thing you are going through and are also willing to share their story.

It does not matter they type of pet which is passed away. Whether it be the death of dog or grieving for your cat. You can be sure to find some comfort at the pet grief counseling sessions.

But not all people are willing to share the loss of their pets with complete strangers and prefer to grieve in silence. That is understood and respected. When love is loss the only person who really feels and understand what you are going through is you. Remember that your pet loved you as much as you loved it. It would want to see you joyful, smiling and happy again.
