What is it about having a pet that makes us seem to always be a bit more happier and more cheerful than persons who do not own one? Is it the fact that we can come home to a different species other than a human being who does not nag, stress or query us but only greets us with love and understanding of our current moods and emotions? Well, before i actually dig into preserving your dead pet i will explain to you the bond between a pet and its owner. Many people may read this explanation and think that it is far fetched, fantasy or science fiction, but until you experience the power of pet and owner you will not truly understand.
There are certain types of pets that create a deeper bond with us than others. After owning several pets myself, (cat, dog, fish, bird and hamster) i can unbiased say that cats and dogs form a deeper bond with their owners than any other animals owned. Cats are runner up to Dogs as dogs express much deeper feelings and emotions within themselves and towards others. Dogs are filled with so much emotions it would be inhumane to say that these animals are soulless. I do believe that there are some animals which are quite conscious about themselves, their surroundings and very consolable when it comes on to the human family which they have become so attached to. Sometimes your pets actually sense you direct emotions and they try to cheer you up. My dog would sense that i am down and he would begin to rub all over me with his head and jumping around and licking me just trying to cheer me up. If i am ill he senses that also and knows that i may not be able to play so he goes into a different type of emotional support, he just lies at my bedside, guards me and mope. With friends like a good dog, when the pass away, we tend to try and preserve whatever memories we have left of them. Here are a few ways you can preserve your pet memories, or even your pet if desired.
According to Wikipedia.org, Mummification is a process in which the skin and flesh of a corpse can be preserved. The process can occur either naturally, or it can be intentional. If it occurs naturally, it is the result of cold (as can be found in a glacier), acid (as can be found in a bog) or dryness. It is rarely, probably not practiced in first world countries the mummification of humans. Many people may see mummification as scary and inhumane, but different cultures think differently. The Egyptians were brilliant people and normally mummified persons of great status that and high importance and meanings. Animals are mummified much more consistently, whether it be for biological factors, pet lovers love for his pet or just the evil things man and his hunting innocent animals for sport brings. Mummification will most likely be the closest you will come to preserving your favorite dead pet. Don't think return of the mummies when we speak about mummification, there is no dirty wrapped bandages or rotting corpse, just a still beautiful preserved image of the love that transcended from your pet to you and vice verse.
