Taking Your Pet To Church for Prayer

Pray for Your Dog and Cat
Pray For Your Pet
When I say people love their pets, I really mean people love their pets. Their pets have been apart of their lives from beginning right back down to the end and even in the after life, well one would want to believe that right? But how far would you go as it relates to your pet and you? As a pet owner, we know the importance of pets in our lives, especially cats and dogs. There is just something quite unique about having these two animals close to you that no other animal could compare to. But there are people who feel the same way about their pet pony, pig, frog, snake etc.

Many cat and dog owners are devout Christians, Muslims, etc. These people are of religious sector and strongly believe in the power of praying and healing. Many people have gone to the church to seek intervention when all humanity has failed to make a mark. Whether it be spiritual or physical healing. But what about taking your dog or cat to church to be blessed? Would that be looked at as feasible?

Even though there is a saying that all dogs go to heaven, does that mean that taking your pet to church for prayer is irrelevant? So what would be some reasons why any pet owner would take their dog, cat, horse or any other animal to church for prayer? Let's take a look.

  • Illness
The animal may have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and the recommended course of action is to put down the animal. For any pet owner who truly loves their pet knows how heart ripping this can be.  There is no harm in going that extra mile to seek spiritual intervention. After all, what harm could that do?

  • Wanting the Animal To Keep Safe (Protection)
Yes, we provide shelter and other necessities for our dogs and cats. But what about asking for that extra layer of protection which can prevent them from let's say illness, mistreatment, accidents etc. There is nothing wrong in asking for an angel to watch over your pet.

  • Wanting Their Pet To Be In Heaven With Them
People do believe in heaven and believe that when the pass this physical realm, they will ascend to the heavens, that's if you are not evil of course and your road takes you to the devil's cooking pot.  So they try to let their pets experience the church and hope the Good Lord will find favor with the animal.

So what say you? Do you take your pet to church for prayer or blessing? Or do you pray for your pet in solitude so no one can think you are going bonkers?
