Cat Tree

A cat's characteristic is not a docile one even though they love to sleep and lounge around. Cats love to jump, climb and pounce. They possess  a lot of energy and they need to let loose sometime to simply do what cats love to do.  They are naturally curious and love to explore their environment.  One thing for sure is that if you do not provide a way to allow your cat to scratch, climb and play, the cat will simply use the furniture and clothing in your home to satisfy its feline instinct.  You will end up with scratched woodwork which will leave you pulling out stands of hair from your head by the hundreds.  The best way to avoid this is to give your cat a natural feeling place for it to claw, scratch, jump and hang around.

What Is In That Cat Tree?

Cats are natural clingers and they love to climb. Climbing is just simply coded in their DNA and they just cant help but do it. Getting a cat tree for your feline is one of the best ways to keep your kitty exercised and happy.  A cat tree is not just a long tree growing through the roof of your home where Jack can go climb and signal the giants to give your home a renovation you don't need. It is a substitute tree designed for your cat to climb, scratch, jump and even sleep on.   There are many sizes and styles of trees available. Some have lots of perches and sleeping spaces while others are smaller with less hiding spots. You can even get ones with hanging toys for your cat to enjoy too. Cat trees have multiple posts for scratching and exercising their paw muscles. It also gives them a place to leave their scent. While the perches offer them the heights they seek to feel just like their outside climbing a tree.

Choose The Best Size For Your Home
The convenience of having a cat tree for your cat is simply amazing. When getting one, take into consideration the size of the space you wish for the at tree to occupy. They come in many sizes and height.  The cat trees comes with spaces for your cat to play hide and go seek, most cat trees offer sisal wrapped posts and carpet or plush lined condos. While older cats tend to nap more, remember younger cats will be looking to play. Many cat trees offer dangling toys for playful pets as well as the condos and climbing tunnels. Be sure to get one with a couple scratching areas.

Once your cat has chosen one of these areas, they should start to leave your furniture alone. If you have multiple cats, look for one with more levels and hiding spots so they all can play and relax together. No matter the size of the cat tree you choose, your cat will be sure to love it.

A great cat owner knows that to keep your cat happy, you have to keep them busy. Cat trees offer your cat a playground all their own within the safe walls of your home. Make your home a cat friendly space by adding a cat tree for your kitty.
