Have you ever seen cartoons in which the cat would jump straight up to the ceiling top, sink its claws into the ceiling and meow when frightened? Well, many people actually believe that this is real and scared cats actually does this. Well sorry to burst your bubbles but cats when scared do not simply jump from the floor and claws the ceiling and hang upside down, the first thing that a scared cat will do is simply try to run away. if for some reason the cat is cornered and cannot run up any wall or escape through any holes, the cat will hold its ground, it will go into "i am cornered and simply must defend myself mode."

When the cat is in that mode, it will arch its back, have its tail stuck up in the air, begin a menacing his, expose his teeth now and then and will let any object feel it's claws when it approaches. Don't believe that because domesticated cats are little they don't have the big hearts or their wildlife cousins. There are many cats who will give a big dog a run for its money.
