What Cats Think About

What Do Cats Think About?
I was having a conversation with one of my pals who owns a German shepherd and a cat called sponge. We were talking about pets and what different animals like and the question suddenly got thrown out. What do cats really think about? For many people, right off the bat without even knowing about cats may say fish or milk. That is simply because the media has imprinted that picture in the subconscious minds of most people. But having owned a cat (R.I.P) Tiger, I think I know a thing or two about cats and what goes through their feline minds.  So what do cats think about? Let’s see.

1. Sleep
As light and quick as cats are on their four paws, a cat is not a cat without indulging into many cat nips throughout the day. Cats need their rest and this is a big part of what cats think about. A cat will sleep anywhere between anywhere from 16 to 20 hours a day.  That is a lot of shuteye for a tiny animal. The total hours cats sleep is simply enormous, this is why I believe cats always think about sleeping.

2. Becoming A Bigger Cat
All cats know that there is something bigger and greater within them. They know even though they are small felines, their cousins are large great cats. Domestic cats will most likely think of them self as a large cat such as a Tiger or Lion.

3. Bossing Dogs Around
Isn’t this the dream of all cats? Isn’t this what most cats want and think about? Getting even with the neighbors dog or being the boss of the yard with the dog he/she lives with. I am sure cats wouldn’t mind marching out looking slick with the dog being the henchman.

4. Fresh Chunky Tuna
As if I could list what cats think about without adding tuna in the mix?  I know my cat Tiger loved tuna. She simply went wild with the smell of fresh chunky tuna in her cat eating bowl. Most cats seem to have a special liking for fish, making it something cats think about a lot.

5. Playing Catch with the Mouse
Cats can be quite playful. Especially when they find a mice, catches it and decides to play Frisbee with it.  They will box the mouse all over the floor, release, and chase and catch it again until its little toy becomes boring to it and then oops! the mice heads gets bitten off.

6. Taking Over The God Darn World
What do you think your cat is planning when he/she sits doing looking sleeping and sinister? It is sending out signals and plans mentally to other cats within the vicinity. Cats have long planned to rule the world, but before they do they have to get rid of us humans first. But many cats have deviated from this plot because their owner gives them cat food!

Many people believe cats don't really think much. But I can assure you that they are wrong. Cats are great thinkers, give them a couple more years and the world is theirs!

Cats That Roar Vs Cats That Meow

Cats that Roar vs Meow
Lion Roars
They say a cat is that, just a cat. No matter the size, color or environment the cat grows in. But not all cats are equal, some cats are incapable of giving a roar while some or just not made to give that sweet meow. Let's compare the groups.
Roaring Cats
Meow Cats
Lion
Cougar
Tiger
Cheetah
Leopard
house cat
Jaguar
So why can' all cats meow and all cats roar? Wouldn't it be great to have your little pussy cat pal give a big lion king roar now and then? Well, the reasons why all cats can't roar boils down to voice box structure.  Domesticated small cats will meow, purr and chirp as part of their vocalization. But large cats will simply growl or roar, this is because they have a different throat structure which allows them to roar.

In normal cats, there is also the  epihyal bone which is part of the animals voice box. In Big cats this bone is replaced by a ligament. This ligament is capable of stretching to create  larger sound-producing passage and thus a wider range of pitch. The more the ligament extends, the lower the sound generated when air passes across the vocal cords. In addition, the cords are large, unbroken and fleshy, which produces deeper sounds.

4 Reasons Why Cats Love Computers.

Why Cats Love Computers
Cat loves Computer
Cats have always been interested in sitting in front of the home computer. One would want to believe that cats are surfing the internet or playing games the way they cuddle up right in front of our computer screen, or right on top of our keyboards. Heck, you might even have a cat on your computer as you read this blog post! But what is the reason why cats love computers so? Are they planning to insert a new piece of code into the matrix which makes cats the master of the universe? Or are they just simply enthused with technology?  Aside from inserting a code into the matrix, here are the reasons I believe cats love computers.

1. Needs Owners Attention:
Many cat owners are also lovers of the computers. They will spend just as much hours on their equipment as they do with their cats. For the cat, this is just totally unacceptable. So what does the cat do? Hop into the owners lap or laptop to let him/her know that little meow is a bigger priority than social media. The cat simply puts him/herself in your site to match up with the attention you give to the computer.

2. For warmth:
What comes out of computers, especially laptops? Heat. If you turn on your laptop and your cat notices and simply hops onto the laptop or the area emitting the heat, the animal maybe just trying to stay warm.

3. Thinks Whats on Screen is Real
The computer screen may have a lot going on it. Especially if the screen is displaying videos, games and any other kind of animation. Cats are always interested in things moving, especially the mouse pointer. The computer screen simply has lots of things moving around for cats to watch.

4. Thinks It Is a Toy
Cats are curious animals. Aside from sleeping all day and gulping down tuna, they will indulge in a little play now and then. Especially if the cat is young (kitten) They see you punching all the buttons on the laptop or desktop computer and see a lot of things popping on and off the screen. They may believe that it is simply a toy for them to enjoy.
