Most cat owners normally feed their cats tin cat food. Which is nothing to really brag about, as most cat tinned foods contain excess amount of water which makes up a large amount of the total food within the tin. Many of these tin cat foods also bulk up the product with cereals. Buying cheap cat food will ensure that your cat nutrition level will be nothing to brag about. If you are not cooking your own cat food, it really is worth it to pay a little extra to know your cat is getting the proper nutrients.
Giving Your Cat Raw Foods
Many cat owners may think that giving your cat raw meat will somehow affects the cat's health and damage the cats intestine and many other fairy-tales. But as a matter of fact, it is quite the opposite. In-fact, your cats digestive system was made for the consumption of raw meat. Before cats were domesticated, they hunted rats, rabbits, birds, and other small animals. They were fit and healthy thin and if they go back to the wild they may become even more fit and healthy. Raw meat and cats are like government and unemployment. They just fit quite nicely. With that said, lets look at some of the raw meats that are safe to give your cats.
Fish
- Are you surprised fish is on the list. Cats dig fish, there is just something about the smell of fish that drives cats wild. Sort of like an aphrodisiac for cats. Raw fish is definitely a tops when it comes on to cat foods.
Bird Meat
- This can either be chicken, pigeon, turkey or duck. The list i give here are just some of the more easier bird meats we can get to give the cat.
Eggs
- Give your cat a raw egg or two, he/she will dig you for it.
Rabbit
- Some of my good pet owners who owns rabbits as pets may not agree with putting their pets on the menu, but the food chain is real my friends.
Remember, your cat needs a healthy and nutritious diet just as much as you or any other pet. By feeding it protein rich food, you are not only saving yourself money on vet bills, you will prolong the life of your cat. Good cat food nutrition is spells good cat sense.
