Cat Tail
Flora was a fine cat, a fine cat indeed
She adored herself, she live in a mansion and never wanted to leave
The mirror and her master Toby were her best friends
She was a cat in paradise, she did not want it to end
Her coat was brown and silky, with stripes of white
Her image was her pleasure, one of her greatest delight
She especially adored her tail, it was her greatest treasure
Fluffy and long, stuck to her for life, an eternity together
When Toby brushed her she made sure her tail got that extra care
Flashing it all over Toby while he is sitting in the chair
So Toby combed and brushed her tail to his felines' delight
And scratched her tummy to make sure she was alright
Toby was a designer and was always cutting away with his scissors
He was skilled with his hands, people called him the hand wizard
Flora enjoyed watching her master, cut, mend, design and stitch
Toby moved fast, accurate, he worked without a twitch
One day after watching her skillful master for so long she fell asleep
With the last sound of the scissors in her ear making a beat
She slept for a couple minutes then sprang up to her feet
Toby had gone, but tuna was left in her dish to eat
She thought how kind her master was to his feline, if she asked he would bring her a whale
Then she made a movement of the rear to flap her beautiful tail
It did not come around to her as she commanded, now what gives?
Then she turned around and saw that she was tailless and was shocked out of her wits
She meowed and meowed, running around the house like a cat from hell
She transformed into a crazy cat, if she was soft and tender no one could tell
She gnawed and scratched, her tail was gone
vase smashed, remotes dashed as she went on and on
“How could my master cut my tail off?” Felix cried
“I thought he loved me,” she slumped with tears running from her eyes
“He has taken away a part of me which I loved the most.”
“My tail, my beautiful tail, now I have nothing to boast.”
Flora cried and cried and cried her self back to sleep
Her tail was gone, she had no feeling left, she was depressed, wanted nothing to eat
Then she heard a voice, “Wake up Flora, Flora wake up.”
She slowly opened her painful eyes and saw Toby’s blurry face.
She immediately jumped up. Toby! Toby! Where is my tail?
“What are you talking about Flora, your tail is right there!”
Flora wriggled her rump and to her surprise her tail appeared
“You must have had a bad dream Flora, you slept for quite a while
She was happy, purring and smiling and gave Toby a broad smile.
“Come now my feline pal, let’s take a walk outside”
“Flora wriggled her tail again to make sure, it was still attached to her behind.
She was just having a very bad dream about loosing her beautiful tail
Tail, Flora and Toby are still together, master and feline, still prevails
