One of my subscribers has asked me the question, Why do cats meow? Then i begin to look back at my beloved cat Tiger and saw all the times she had meowed and what was all the meowing about. So I came up with this short list of why Cats meow.

1. They can't talk human.
That's right, cats can't talk human, meaning they cant speak in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic or whatever language the cat owner uses to communicate with his/her cat. It is the same way that we humans cannot speak the language of the animal kingdom.

2. They Need Attention
Cats meow when they try to get other cats attention or their owners attention to themselves or something interesting.  So if you are in your home and hear your cat meowing loudly, chances are that it needs your attention or requires your assistant immediately.

3. They Call Their Kittens
Mommies will meow to pinpoint their lactation so their kitten(s) can know exactly where they are in case they somehow wonder away from her eyesight.

4. Time to be Fed
If you see your cat doing circles around your feet and meowing furiously, the animal may be hungry and needs his bowl filled with some nice tuna. Cats will signal a hungry stomach with lots of meowing.

5. They are driving away the Dead
If you know anything about cats you know that they are supernatural creatures who are capable of seeing across dimensions. Meaning they can also see the spirit world. Cats may meow furiously when entities are seen and the cat drives them away with those meows. Yes, ghost are afraid of cats.

6. The Are Signalling Danger
If cat sees danger nearby approaching, such as a large dog or other wild animal. They will meow furiously to get help from the Allies of the Cat Union.
