Sleeping With Dog In Bed

Sleeping With Dog In Bed
One of My Dog's Little Hideout. Yes! He got caught!
Sleep, who needs it? Apparently most people and animals do.  Humans love to sleep, you may have a few of us who just hates sleeping and will do anything to deter themselves from sleeping. But majority of us snooze off at any chance we get. Contrary to what many people think, Dogs do sleep and they like doing it too. But where do dogs sleep and how many dog owners are actually sleeping with dog in bed? Apparently a whole lot.

Even though you have a million and one dog beds online. Many fashionable and really fun built, dogs still end up sharing bed with their master.  This practice of sleeping with your dog in bed can have good and even negative impacts on yourself and your dog too.

What? How can sleeping with a dog in bed have negative reactions? Well let's see.

Dog Becomes Too Attached
Even though you as a dog owner loves your pet and want to show the dog love at every chance you get. Too much love may not be a good thing either. You want to ensure that your dog has his/her own space and can feel independent at nights or even day while sleeping. If your dog becomes attached to sleeping in bed with you, it may become difficult to make changes at a later time. Changes such as having a baby and you may not want your dog in bed with your baby.

Get Bitten by Fleas
Dogs are treated for tick and fleas, but what if for some reason you forgot to treat your dog and the dog manages to get flea then sleeps in bed with you and you end up getting bitten or worse a child ends up getting bitten. Tick bite is never a healthy situation.

Bed smells like Dog
Yes, we cuddle them, love them, play with them and everything else, but if you have high shedding dog, you may have to think more than once about sleeping in bed with that dog. Dog dander and shedding will cause you sheets to transform from Downy to doggy.
Sleeping In Bed With Dog Positives
Sleeping in bed with you dog may allow you to create even a tighter bond with your canine pal. It also allows you reassurance that your dog is OK while sleeping.
So, if you plan to continue sleeping with your dog in bed go ahead, have fun, cuddle your canine! But remember that at some point everything needs it's own space. Maybe it is time for you to start looking at dog beds and give your dog some sleeping freedom.

6/23/2017

Here is my list of what dogs are capable of doing. Enjoy!

1. Dogs Do Bark
Well, everyone knows that right? But does everyone knows that dogs will bark for different reasons? Dogs are sensible and emotion driven animals and use the bark and other sounds to help express those emotions.
  • Dog barks to get the owner or someone else s attention
  • Dogs bark to deter someone or something
  • Dogs bark when excited and happy

2. Dogs Do Wag Their Tail.....a Lot!
There is this thing about a dog's tail...it wags! Dogs will wag their tail based upon many reasons. Dogs wag their tail when:
They are excited
  • Curious
  • Angry
  • Apart from the three, they just love wagging their tails. Yeah, it is just what dogs do.
3. Dogs Do Dig Holes In The Yard
If you have a dog that is outdoors, you would know the power of the dog's digging paws. Dogs will create craters in your newly set tomato garden just to find a cool spot to lie down or if he/she finds gets a hold of something they think is precious like a huge bone which might take them a lifetime to chew or your grandpa's colorful "holey" sock. Yes, this is what dogs do, they will dig, lay and hide their precious treasures.

4. Dogs Do Pant
If you see you dog doing what looks like breathing through their mouth it is actually called panting. Dogs will pant when they are hot and want to cool down real fast. Since dogs do not sweat in their skin but on their paws. Those four little paws may not allow the dog to cool down as fast as it needs to so they supplement that with panting. Panting circulate the necessary air through their bodies to cool down
5. Dogs Do Show Love
Dogs are quite emotional animals and they will express how they feel towards you by the things they do and say. Yes, I did say “say”. A dog can use his bark just to say I love you in his doggy language. Dogs use their entire body to express themselves and the way they feel. They will cuddle, wine, jump on you, lick your face and just about anything which says "I Love You" the doggy way. Yes, my fellow dog owners, this is what dogs do.

6. Dogs Do Bite
So did you think all those sharp teeth in your dog's mouth was just for eating? Don't put your hand where it ought not to be! There are some dogs who will bite which may not be properly trained or his/her puppy years was very stressful. There are even some very bad owners who train their dogs to simply be mean.  Remember to never pet anyone's dog without consent from the owner, you may never know the temperament of that dog. You may end up getting nipped. Yes, dogs do bite.
7. Dogs Do Play
Dogs are energetic and many love to run all day and play. Throw them a ball, a stick or a Frisbee and watch them go at it. They will just keep on coming and going like a bunny with a million batteries. You can have tonnes of fun with playful dogs. They will run, jump, do tricks and all sort of weird stuff. Dogs are fun partners and of course, having fun is what dogs like to do.

8. Dogs Do Chow Down
Talk about eating up a storm and you are talking about a dog. Dogs and foods are inseparable like ABC.  Dogs do enjoy a good meal, whether it be dry foods or a nice piece of juicy steak or bone, you will definitely bring a smile to your dog's face when it comes onto feeding time. Dogs do love to have a full belly.
9. Dogs Do Poop
So after all that chowing down where do you expect the waste to go? Yeah, that's right. Ensure that you are ready to do some poop cleaning from time to time on a continuous basis because dogs do poop and many dogs poo a lot. So train that dog from early to poop in his poop area. After all, you don't want to be cleaning poop off the dinner table would you? Hey, I mentioned poop a lot, didn't I?

10. Dogs Do Lick Themselves
Talk about a dog's tongue and there you have the king tongue of licking. Dogs lick themselves for various reasons.
  • They lick themselves to help sooth a wound.
  • They lick themselves to alleviate an itch
  • They may just lick themselves because they can, who knows.
Dogs really do a lot of stuff, they are trained to perform tricks. They are trained as special forces being apart of the police unit and even the military. Dogs have so much talent it is just totally crazy. Dogs do guide work and even perform rescue missions. Dogs do lead the blind. Dogs are even into healthcare as many dogs are used as Therapy dogs.  Dogs are simply amazing and indeed, man's best friend.

Dog Modeling - Turn Your Dog Into The Next Top Dog Model

Dog Modeling
Dog modeling is nothing new, it is just a bit more plush than it used to be back in the days. Today's dogs are extremely well groomed and are prepared to model by top dog talent agencies. So what does it take for your dog to be a model? Well, your dog must have some sort of training and understand basic dog commands, and of course should have that look which stands out.  But let's delve a little deeper and look at what your dog will need to become the next top dog model.
Dog Talent Agency
You may have to enroll your pooch into a Dog Talent Agency. This dog talent agency will see to it that your dog gets prepared for the runway by doing the following:

Harvest Your Dog's Talent
  • They will assess your dog to see what hidden talent your dog has festered up.
  • Will assess your dog's training and intelligent level.
  • Will asses your dog's image to see if that image matches up with modelling requirements.
  • Grooming. The Dog Talent Agency will recommend that a professional dog groomer comes in to look at your dog and do the best fit for the walkway.

But asides from the dog talent agency doing much needed work on your dog for it to become a model, you have to also do a bit of dog marketing if I may call it that. What do I mean by that?  You will have to go out there and letting people know you and your dog exist and he/she can be the next big thing. Start by doing the steps below.

1. Take Pictures of Your Pooch
The best way to get your dog recognition to become a model is to take glamor shots of your dog. These glamor shots should be high definition and enhance your dogs magnificent looks and features. Don't be restricted to inside your house or yard. That will never work. Go outdoors and find beautiful scenery to help enhance your dog's photos. Look for unusual backgrounds, get creative with the pictures. Make those pictures happy, beautiful and memorable.

2. Create Your Dog's Blog/Website
It is not about you, it is about your dog you plan to model. The best way to gain social media buzz is to create a Blog featuring you dog. Post pictures and videos of your dog so people can get to know, follow and love your pooch. You can create easy websites on Weebly without knowing anything about coding by simple clicks of your mouse.

3. Enter Calendar and Poster Contest
There are many dog contest available where you can enter your dog to see if he/she will get selected to be on calendars, magazines, cute dog of the day etc. These contest will gain you and your pup exposure as to some basic requirement of dog modeling and set the pace for bigger things to come.

4. Create Cheap T shirts With Your Dog Pics / Ornaments
If you are really into modeling your dog and promoting, After you have created your dog blog, you can also invest in creating a couple T-Shirts with that stunning pic of your dog along with your website URL  and distribute them at certain doggy events to the right people. If you think T Shirts are a bit too much, do key-rings or any other cheap ornament.

Once you have gotten your dog modeling engine running and have created the much needed ground work, you should start seeing great results. Remember, Social media creates a very big role in online marketing. Once you get that blog rolling in Weebly, sit back and watch all the likes rolling in too.
