Dogs, Coffee and A Whole Lotta Barking!

We all know that many dogs are quite active, some more active than others. But there is one thing for sure, you can't outplay your dog. Dogs love to run, bark and play. You as a pet owner need to ensure that your dog keeps fit and healthy by allowing your dog to participate in these activities. We all know that many times our aged and aching bones don't allow us to have such high energy fun with our canine buddies, but hey, there is always coffee right?

If you plan to take your dog out in the open field today, you must first prepare yourself for what is to come. That is; prepare to be jumped on, barked at, play chase, throw the Frisbee, throw the ball, jumped on again, face licking, barking, pick up dog poo and a whole Lotta doggy stuff! So how do we go about tackling the high energy that our dog will dish out to us when we go out with them....First you need to start your morning right! For me, i simply turn on the kettle, take down my french vanilla creamer, apply one tea spoon of brown sugar, apply one teaspoon of fine coffee, stir my coffee to perfection, get a good whiff of that smell and simply enjoy! Then i pour about a liter of that same fuel inside my thermos, eat a healthy breakfast and hit the field with venom...that's the name i give to one of my pet dogs. Well, if you must ask then i have to tell you how he got that name.

He was outback running around one evening when i suddenly heard him whining (This was when he was a pup) I rushed to him and saw him using his paw to try and scratch his lower jaw, all this while still whining in pain. Then i saw the scorpion and he was standing over it. I picked him up and rushed him to the vet. The vet asked me if i was sure it was scorpion and i told him yes, i still had the proof with me, it was still stuck to the bottom of my slipper. They gave venom an injection and told me he would be OK. Well i brought him home and he is still running a muck around the back yard! Way to go venom!

The Guy On the Left Never Drank Coffee before Dog Play
There is no if nor buts about it, you need to have lots of energy to participate in your dog's activities out there in the field. You need to be energetic and must concentrate, you probably need to be trained in the art of the Jedi. Okay, well maybe Jedi training is pushing it a wee bit to far, but don't be like the guy to the left of this text who brought out his hound to run and play in park but never made it pass 5 minutes!
There Is No End To Your Dogs Fun
There is absolutely no end to your dog having fun and dragging your corpse all over the field. You must prepare once you have a dog to enroll in a gym so you can keep fit, keep healthy an most of all keep up! So here is a simple list of what to do to keep up with your dog while outdoors
  • Drink coffee
  • Have healthy breakfast
  • Maintain fitness by working out
  • keep hydrated
  • drink coffee (i know)
So as they say in France; Have a happy doggy day! (Well if you know french you can translate that because i don't)

Practicing To Keep Proper Dog Hygiene By Keeping A Clean and Safe Environment

We love our dogs. I can't seem to say tat first sentence enough. We as pet owners and animal lovers provide food, shelter, health and love for the animals which are part of our family. Yes it is a lot as caring for any living thing takes time, money and patience. But it is not just about buying the most expensive bag of dog chow, pouring it into your dog's food bowl and walkaway and go sleep. Just as though you or someone else takes care of the environment which you reside in, you must also take care of your dog's environment.

Feeding And Clean Up

Picture
First of all you must ensure that you feed your dog only in one particular location. Don't just pick up the dog's feeding bowl and fill it with food and place it anywhere you feel like. Designate a dedicated feeding area for your dog. When you do this, you are training your dog to not move his bowl all over the home, especially if you have playful and messy dogs who feel like they should eat and run off and carry food in their mouth, place it on your brand new rug and start feeding. If you don't give your dog candlelight dinners around the table and you don't have the queens butler to clean up. You will just have to do it yourself. Ensure that after your dog feeds, check to ensure that there is no food scattered and left in corners and so on. You don't want to attract any pesky insects. You dog bowl should be wash at least once per day, especially if you feed your dog canned food.

Change Your Dogs Water
Many dog owners who spend most of their time with their dogs seem to forget that you dog thirst and desires water just like any living thing. Ensure that your dog has fresh water to drink at least occasionally and the bowl he uses is cleaned daily. Especially if you live in a rural environment and have a outdoor dog, you don't know what else is drinking from your dog's bowl.

Clean Up Dog Poo Immediately/Poo Training
Don't be fooled by all the nice cute dog ads. Yes, the dogs are cute and cuddly, but they also poo. If you have an indoor dog , he/she must be trained to use the doggy litter box and not the carpet or sofa! There are some people who train their dogs to use the toilet. Yes, some dog owners actually build special dog toilets which their pets can be trained to use and flush. If your dog is a out door dog, always cleanup poo on a daily basis. Uncleaned poo can lead to health hazards such as the breeding of screw worms and eventually flies.

Raw food or Dog Chew Sticks (rawhide)

Dental care is also quite important. By giving your dog raw food, it allows for the cleaning of your dogs teeth. When you feed your dog processed dry or wet foods, your dog teeth will eventually become stained and your dog teeth will eventually need cleaning.

Keep Your Environment Flea and Tick Free

The pesky ticks seems to always want something to do with your dogs life. They hang around the home in dirt, on grass blades and in bushes or shrubs waiting for a chance to itch a ride on your dogs fur. Ensure that garbage is always disposed of and disposed of properly. Keep your dogs groomed and bathed so they are always fresh, healthy and happy.

Stop Dog Eating
Stop Dog Eating
look around you and you will see a beautiful animal there by you feet, licking your fingers, jumping up on you, wagging their tales with love and excitement. We also love and take care of our pets, but the thing is in many countries especially Asia, these wonderful heart warming animals are either being abused or killed and eaten. China is one of the biggest eaters of Dogs and the yearly the brutal Yulin Dog Meat Festival proves that. These dogs have been stolen from their families or picked up on the streets, and are brutally tortured before being butchered at the festival each June.

Many pet owners who are unaware of what is happening has had their dogs being kidnapped from backyards and homes broken into and dogs stolen. Stolen to fulfill the appetite of wicked Festival dog eaters.
Dogs are abused Kidnapped and Killed
There seems to be some sort of epidemic which is taking place in Asian and some African nations. That epidemic is the capturing and killing of dogs for meat eating.  Many of these Dogs are supplied from wicked puppy mills as then many are kidnapped from homes where people have these dogs as pets, part of the family. Can you imagine how devastating it must be to have you pet dog kidnapped in these countries knowing very well what is the most likely outcome?

Every year, an estimated 10 million dogs are killed for their meat in China. The dogs are often  tied up, trucked long-distance in cramped wire cages stuffed with dozens of other dogs, starved, then beaten, boiled or burned alive. Nobody checks to see where these dogs come from – many are heartlessly ripped from their loving homes, or darted with poison on the streets and dragged away to the slaughterhouse. Disease is rampant due to the squalid conditions and lack of medical care.

The dogs are even sold in dog markets where dogs are prepared directly in-front of you while you wait for that piece of dog meat. It is a sick and gross and vomiting situation.  There are many groups who have come together to help put an end to this blooming and catching dog trade business. They are constantly on the watch for these activities and with the little power they have they use it to act upon the atrocities.

How To help Stop Dog Meat Eating
This is indeed a great battle and every dog owner in the United states, Europe, China, Africa and the caribbean needs to pitch in and let their voices be heard.

  1. Sign petitions which helps to fight abuse against animals.
  2. Donate or contribute any amount to help continue to support these groups who fight animal abuse.
  3. Be an active animal rights activist. Care for not just your dog, but dogs all over the world.
These poor dogs really do need our help, turning a blind eye to situations like these is the same as us eating our pets. Lets come together and help stop dog kidnapping, killing and eating.
