What To Do If Your Dogs Get Stuck Together After Mating

Dogs will be dogs and they will do what dogs do, mate! The thing about dog mating is that after the ordeal, they get stuck together. This is caused because of the flow of blood to the dog's reproductive organ. I have explained why dogs get stuck together in my previous article. Why Dogs Gets stuck After Mating. But this article is to give you some pointers what you can do if your dogs are stuck and for some reason you want them unhitched.
Get them somewhere Cool
When dogs do mate, they get all excited and heated up. Their body temperature rises a bit with excitement. They have the urge to mate just like humans do, not just to produce young ones as male dogs could careless about producing an offspring. So get them calm and relaxed by bringing them someplace cool and out of the sun. This will ease the blood flow that to the balbus gland that has swollen inside the bitch's vagina.

Feed Them
I don't know, but my dogs have been stuck several times. Mainly at nights when i am sleeping i would hear a little ruffling in the garage and when i turn on the lights, voila! two stuck dogs. sometimes i would just leave them alone or bring them a little food and probably a glass of wine (just kidding about the wine) to set the mood right. I would pour a little dry food in the bowls at either and and despite being stuck, they will gobble it down and every time they do, they become unstuck more quickly.

Er,,Leave them Alone
For heavens sake, it's a natural process for dogs to mate and actually get stuck. Why would you want to intervene anyway to get them apart. Simply wait until the process runs its natural course. The dogs will be fine.

What You Must Never Do When Your Dog Gets Stuck Mating
  • Never try pulling the dogs apart physically. You are hurting both male and female dog by doing this. You have to remember that the dog's penis is swollen like a bulb inside the female's dog vagina. Physically pulling these animals apart can lead to damaging the reproductive organs of both animals. Which would be quite painful.
  • Don't throw water on them. Many times people think pouring water on the animals would somehow cause the penis to deflate and let loose. This is a myth, pouring cold water on the dogs does nothing for them in this area.

Come on now, what would really be the need to disrupt your dogs hanky panky? Unless you were probably out walking your dog and took your eyes off him or her for a minute and before you knew it you inherited a mating dog-in-law. Just leave the dogs alone.

Dog Eats Crab

dog eats crab
One morning when i woke up and went outside i saw a large crab on top of our wire fence sitting pretty. There are two dogs in the yard. A mix golden retriever and rottweiler and a shipoo. The shipoo is the more agile of the two and thinks she is a giant of a dog as she barks and growls at our neighbors pit-bulls and goats that pass by. So i pulled the car out the garage and left the crab on the fence that day. After the usual repetitive and "Oh I Wish I could Kill my Boss" day at work, i reached home at 6:30pm only to see my tow dogs enjoying crab legs. They devoured the entire crab. I know dogs, i know a lot about dogs, but i never knew dogs could easily break into crab legs as how i saw my two dogs enjoying that delicacy. Oh well, the score is now Crab 0, Dogs 1.

Creating A Dog Proof Garden

We love our gardens, but we love our dogs even more. That is why when they destroy our brand new tomato garden and you go out and see their coats all filled with soil and then he runs to lick your hands you can do nothing nut to shake your head, smile and begin to make a new garden. But if you go about just making an open garden again, chances are favorable for your pet dog to go flowers digging again. Here are some simple and basic tips to create a dog proof garden.
1.What is the height of your Dog
The height of your dog should determine how you plan to block off your garden from your dog. Dogs are good jumpers and will jump short fences to get to wherever they think they need to go or should be digging.  If you plan on doing a backyard vegetable garden, You could erect beautiful picket fences surrounding access to your vegetable garden from your dog. The picket fence should be equipped with easy access door and walkway for you to access and maintain your garden. What you must remember though is that dogs can dig through poorly setup picket fences or can even jump fences that are too short.  A practical fence height should be around 3.5 - 4 feet in height and should have at least 12 inches underground for good stability and to prevent your dog from easily digging through. You can also choose to erect good looking wire fences to allow good air flow through your vegetable garden.

2.Smells To Deter Your Dog
There are various smells that dogs hate that will deter them from going into areas where they smell those scents. Remember that dogs noses are extremely sensitive and have super smell compared to a human nose. You can place mothballs high on those fences to deter your dog from that area.  Don’t leave them on the floor or within reach where an overly curious dog might try to eat them. Put them up high enough or in a vented holder that lets the smell permeate the area you are trying to keep your dog from damaging.

3. Raised Potted Plants For Your Flowers Garden

Dogs will rarely dig out plants out of pots, unless those pots are turned over and the dog is curious to see what dwells below those flowers.  Raised flower pots are those with legs are stands which makes them seem less like they are actually embedded in the earth when you place those pots closely together. You can create beautiful flower garden using these accessories and chances are that your dog will have no means to dig and destroy your beautiful flowers.

Now you can have your cake and eat it whole too. You can go build that beautiful garden that you love and have that wonderful pooch that makes you smile everyday.
