What's under your dogs skin? Well, hopefully a healthy bone structure, organs and muscles. Dogs many times develop skin issues which is a indication of a underlying problem. Many times these problems stem from:

Insects/Pest
Insects such as mites and ticks can trigger skin problems with your dog especially if those parasites die while still attached to the animal and was not removed. The bites and droppings of fleas can brings deep skin  irritation. Some pets may even be allergic to the saliva in a flea bite.

Allergic reactions

Dogs often experience Allergic reactions due to certain type of dog shampoo or even medications given. Outdoors allergies such as mold, dust or pollen, are high on the chart for skin allergies in dogs. If you believe a shampoo or medication you gave to you dog has triggered a skin reaction, stop using the products and consult your vet. Also, if you have shifted your dogs food and notice these symptoms, revert to previous type of dog food and observe the animals reaction. Food additives, such as coloring, can also cause allergic reactions..

5 Ways Your Dog Helps You In Your Relationship

As a pet owner of two dogs, one 3 passed cats, one goldfish and two escaped budgies, i can categorically state that pets are wonderful when it comes on women and dating. There is just this connection with cute dogs and cats that many women tend to draw to. Especially if they themselves are pet owners. So with that bit said, lets look at some of the ways your dog helps in your relationship:
Picture
Dogs Are Chick Magnets
  • If you are a male and a dog owner, you probably know exactly what i am talking about. Walking a cute dog will give you more attention and phone numbers than your smart phone memory chip can hold. Women will just come over simply to compliment your dog. Especially if your pet is one of those cute guys that women love to take care of. Women love to see a guy take care of something other than himself.

Having A Dog Says A Lot About Your Emotions
  • When a woman sees a guy walking and having a good time with his dog, to her it says a lot about him. She sees not just a walking prick, but she sees a man who is capable. She sees someone who is caring enough to love and take care of another species. And if he is willing to do all those wonderful things for his dog, he most certainly will love and take care of her just the same or better.

Your Dog Can Help Cool Arguments
  • People who are in relationships sometimes get into heated arguments. Men and women will exchange harsh words towards each other, many times regretting it couple minutes later. When you have a dog at home and if a argument develops, some dogs tend to go between owners and try to seek attention. The dog is a smart animal and it knows by doing this the focus will shift from the arguments to you remembering how cute and sweet your dog is.

Your Dog Can Help Mend Your Relationship
  • How many times have there been broken relationships? Well, there is just too many to count. But your dog is just a natural relationship mender. Couples many times come together to take care of their pet that they love, even if they are separated and living under the same roof. When they get together and say, bath the dog, groom the dog or treat the dog for any illnesses. It brings back a warm and loving feeling of working together. That feeling may just spawn into working out a solution and getting back together in love.

Your Dog Can Keep You Both Happy
  • As you know, people who have pets tend to live longer and be a bit more on the happy side. Having a pet at home will keep the family entertained many times when boredom seems to be the order of the day. We play games with our dogs in the yard or in open area. We roll, we toss and we simply have fun. The dog strengthens the relationship by keeping the happy meter on a high number.

What Happens When Your Puppy Begins To loose Teeth

2/24/2016

Puppies are sweet little fellows and will not stay tiny and "munchy" all their lives. They will eventually grow and become that adorable dog we all love. Part of the growth cycle of the puppy includes it changing out its temporary tooth to permanent tooth. Puppies come with 28 baby tooth which will be replaced by 42 adult or permanent tooth. Teeth begins to emerge from your puppies gum at approximately two weeks old. The puppy teeth or deciduous teeth start with incisors first and then the canine tooth and of course the premolars will follow suit. These puppy teeth are tiny and very sharp, and at this point the puppy will begin to test out its new found tool, its teeth. But even before the tooth are fully emerged, you will notice that the puppy has suddenly taken up chewing on anything it finds. Well, the gums become a bit irritated when those teeth are pushing up and many times the puppy relieves the irritating feeling by biting and chewing on anything it finds. After the temporary tooth have been fully emerged, you can be sure that the biting of slippers and other stuff will follow!

Introducing Dog Food To Your Puppy
Once the teeth are fully emerged and the puppy is comfortable biting and nipping, it would be a good idea to introduce the puppy to puppy dog food. Introduce the pup to a little food by starting off with softer foods such as wet foods and then gradually going to dry foods for pups. Remember that puppies are not full grown dogs and those temporary tooth ate not able to chew up tougher foods and you don't want your puppy to try and swallow it's food because it can't manage to chew it. This will lead to your puppy choking, and no body wants that for their pup.

Puppy Loosing Their Teeth
Your puppy has enjoyed those sharp temporary teeth long enough. When the puppy has matured to about 10 weeks, the temporary or deciduous tooth begin to fall out.

The loss of these temporary tooth allows the permanent tooth to begin its emergence.
The permanent tooth follows the same pattern as it relates to the type of tooth which pushes up first.
  1. incisors first
  2. canines second
  3. premolars third
  4. molars fourth

Your dog should have all full sets of teeth by the time it reaches 7-8 months. If your dog has not shown any significant growth in teeth at this age or retains its temporary tooth. You have a problems and you will need to seek professional help from your vet. Never try to pull out your dog tooth yourself.  This could lead to excessive bleeding and even infections. Bring your dog to your vet if it is experiencing any teeth problems.

Now that your dog has a full set of strong and powerful teeth, its time to give him his favorite piece of bone to chew down or either bury.
