So what is all the hallabaloo about feeding your dog raw meat? May i remind dog owners that despite how cute and cuddly our dogs are, they are still dogs and have properties which makes them be defined as a dog. It is said that dogs are descendants from the wolf family, they are natural carnivores and if not for the taming of these animals, they would have been hunting for their own meals. Man has played his part in breeding out most of the wolf DNA out of the dog family. Just look at the many groups of dog which have been bred, you have small dogs, wolf dogs, security dogs, odd dogs, dogs of various colors etc. But despite the differences in all the dog breeds, i can bet you my life savings (which i can tell you is not much) that all dogs love meat, and guess what, the rawer the better it is for your dog. Before our dogs were domesticated, tell me what do you believe their diet consisted of? That's right, pure raw meat and a few vegetation.
Dog Evolution To Processed Food
Many people have argued that because dogs have been eating domesticated food for many centuries, their internal digestive systems have evolved to this type of food and introducing raw meat into your dog's diet will be dangerous. That assumption holds no water. Wild dogs and domesticated ones share the same metabolism. As a matter of fact, domesticated dogs rarely use up many of their wild life features. A dogs jaws and teeth were not meant to eat dry dog foods, they were designed to rip off flesh and cracking of bones. Same like it's forefathers the wolves. Introducing Raw meat t your dog will not do anything bad to it's digestive system, in fact it's system may just thank you for it.

  • Threats to human and dog health from bacteria in raw meat.
  • An unbalanced diet that may damage the health of dogs if given for an extended period
  • Potential for whole bones to choke an animal, break teeth or cause an internal puncture
Risk Debunked
  1. Unbalanced Diet:- Animals have a natural instinct of what their bodies need. If the animal needs vegetation, it would have been birth an herbivore. Besides, you as the pet owner can mix and match your dogs diet.
  2. Potential for whole bones choking and doing internal damage: Who says you should give the Dog bones?
  3. Bacteria From Raw Meat:Your dog's digestive system was made to handle meat bacteria. As long as you do not feed your dog rotting meat, it should be OK.

Raw Meat Safer Than Processed Food
If you have been following up all the activities that has been going on in the past and recently. You would have known about the many risk associated with processed dogs food. Many processed dog foods have had recalls because of high level of dangerous substances that are found in them. Substances which may even lead to the death of an animal that feeds from these processed foods. Food poisoning bacteria - Salmonella and Listeria are the main cause in processed dog foods.

Types Of raw meat Recommended
  • Organs and Intestines
  • Muscle Meat
  • Eggs
  • Grind Bones

Conclusion

Raw meat is natural to your dog. If you want to maintain your dogs current diet of processed foods you can do so and add raw meat to his dish along with the processed foods. You will definitely see a difference in your dog's skin, coat, and energy level. Which all indicates that your dog's health has been improved.

If you ever sit and notice your dog continuously scratching at a particular spot over several days, it is most likely that your dog may have a hotspot. Hotspot in dogs can be caused by several variables. These include, sustenance hypersensitivities, Bug bites, or skin diseases.

Problem areas as a rule happen on a canine's head, hips or mid-section and this condition is otherwise called intense damp dermatitis. At the point when a pooch licks, scratches or chomps a zone unreasonably this could be an indication that he has problem areas. You will see roundabout injuries that are crude, soggy and aggravated. Problem areas are difficult and to a great degree uncomfortable for your pooch and they can spread in a matter of hours.

To keep your puppy from chafing the aggravation any further you should cut your canine's nails or put booties or socks on his/her back feet.

Treating problem areas involves a two stage process. The primary thing you need to do is keep the sore from turning out to be more aggravated and spreading. Trimming the hair around the sores and applying a sterile and some topical anti-toxins recommended by your vet should  is recommended.

Once you've tended to the side effects, it's an ideal opportunity to address the hidden reason for the condition. On the off chance that the problem areas were created by creepy crawly and bug nibbles, then you will need to dispose of the insects. Bug nibbles can likewise bring about ear diseases that prompt problem areas and this will need anti-infection agents to clear up.

Here are a couple of things you can do to lessen the dangers of your pooch creating hot-spots:
  • Cut your canine's hair amid the hot season.
  • Shower your canine consistently with cured cleanser.
  • Use insect avoidance frequently on your canine.
  • Clean your canine's ears all the time.

Don't Leave Your Dog Locked Up In A Hot Car

3/24/2016

There is a saying that goes; Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you. That saying goes for any animals too. There have been too many cases where so called "caring" pet owners believe that somehow it is alright to leave there Dog's locked up in their hot cars on a scorching day. That not only is a stupid thing today, it is down right animal abuse. Can you imagine someone locking you in a hot car parked outside with temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit? You would probably die in that car, and the same may happen to any dog left in such a dilemma.

Dogs are incapable of sustaining prolonged heat and dehydrate much faster than humans do. Humans would tend to sweat to bring down their body temperature and try to keep their selves cool. It's a natural defense by the body to maintain itself. But you dog is incapable of controlling its body temperature and depend mostly on the environment to do so. Dogs do not perspire as humans do and thus a dog locked up for a long time in a hot care may die quite easily.

If you need to take out your dog with you and you are venturing into places which prohibit dogs and you know you will be at that location for more than 15 minutes. It is better to hire a dog sitter until you return. If you are in an area where you can monitor your car, example at the window in a diner having a snack, all you have to do is take out your valuables out your car and ensure that you park your car safely, wind down your windows and simply keep the dog strapped in its harness in the car.

Why People Do So

One would wonder why any dog owner would do such a  thing to an animal they claim to love. The truth is that not all pet owners should be pet owners. They care little for the animal they should be caring for. There are plenty of dog owners with psychological problems and they will simply live out their problems through their pets. Whether it be beating the animal, tieing up and leaving the animal, starving or dehydrating the animal. While their are some people who take a dog not as a pet but as a subordinate. They have nothing or no one else to command around, beat or abuse so they find an animal to do so.

You cannot go places which you are likely to spend hours (mall shopping, hair dresser, barber shop etc) and have your pooch locked up in that hot car. If you do so, you should be charged for animal cruelty as this is nothing short of that. Your dog has feelings just like you and are susceptible to many things just like you. Take car of your dog and do not leave it locked up in your hot car.

People who have pets at home has numerous advantages as it relates to health and mood.  I will not delve into the many researches which has done to prove this but i am here to tell you about the benefits of having a cocker spaniel at home.

Pooches have the ability to help our temperament. An examination has proposed that if a person spends at least 15-30 minutes with a pet, it helps them to feel much more comfortable, relaxed and happy. Playing with a cockier spaniel expands mind's levels of dopamine and serotonin, which are neurotransmitters that are connected with serenity and joy. Clinicians from Miami and St. Louis Universities found that the advantages of having a pet as a sidekick can be like having a human partner.

If you do not have a pet at home i would advice you to get one. If you already have a dog and are seeking a second or third, then i would recommend getting a puppy cocker spaniel.

The Cocker Spaniel is categorized in two classes:
  • The American Breed
  • The English Breed

Cocker Spaniels are great dogs to have around. It is the smallest member of the Sporting Group. It has a sturdy, compact body and a well chiseled and refined head, with the overall dog in complete balance and of ideal size. The Coker Spaniel stands well up at the shoulder on straight forelegs with a top-line sloping slightly toward strong, moderately bent, muscular quarters. It is a dog capable of considerable speed and surprising endurance. The spaniel must be free and merry, sound, well balanced throughout and in action show a keen inclination to work. A dog well balanced in all parts is more desirable than a dog with strongly contrasting good points and faults.

Whether you need the American or English Cocker Spaniel puppy, you ought to dependably search for a main canine reproducer. Ensure you get a puppy from the raiser who takes great consideration of them. In the event that the raiser cherishes his/her work, you will absolutely get a decent puppy. Before you take a puppy in your home, you ought to examine this thought with your relatives. To have a puppy at home ought to be an aggregate choice. Likewise, you ought to be prepared to take out some time from your bustling life to play and take care of your pet.

5 Reasons To Never Give Your Dog Alcohol

3/3/2016

Drinking a bit of alcohol is not a bad thing, but giving your dog alcohol is a complete No No. Just like any human being that  consumes too much alcohol looses his/her natural sense of logic and physical perception, so does any other mammal that consumes the liquid.  Alcohol is not something anybody needs as part of his/her nutriment and thus it interacts to our bodies in negative ways. Giving your dog alcohol may just result in some behavior you would never see coming.
Picture
1. Dog Forgets How To Bark
  • We have seen many cats that try to bark like a dog but have not seen many dogs who try to meow like a cat. A drunk dog may become so confused about what it is that you must hear a couple meows out of the animal.

2. Your Dog Helps The Burglar
  • So you have given your dog a beer and he has fallen asleep at the front door. You think that you are safe because your sturdy mutt is at the forefront of your protection. But what you don't know is that your drunk dog has no idea who is who. You have given your dog alcohol and he thinks the man picking your lock is you. The burglar has free access to eat, steal, bath and sleep, all while your dog is walking behind him and being petted.

3. He may attack the wrong delivery man
  • We all know dogs and mail men are bitter rivals and from the beginning of time they have never seen eye to eye. Your dog knows that your mail man loves to bring you stuff you don't want like, foreclosure notice, outstanding bill notice etc. So he simply chases the mail man away. But what you do not want is your dog to chase away the milk man who delivers freshly squeezed cow's milk right to your door. After all, you need that milk to make your cereal.

4. You Dog Will Not Fetch
  • Don't go giving your dog alcohol and then throwing a Frisbee shouting fetch boy! Go get that yourself. Have you ever tried catching a Frisbee intoxicated? Leave the poor dog alone, a drunk dog will not fetch anything, not even next door neighbors cat.

5. Its Just Dog Garn Cruel
  • Who in their right mind would think of giving their loving pet alcohol to consume. I have never seen it says wine or beer extracts on a bag of dog food. Please do not introduce toxins in your dog's system as this can lead to liver damage or any other internal issues.
