If you have a healthy dog who just loves to chow down on those dog foods and one day you notice that the dog has stopped eating or lost it's appetite suddenly, your dog may be experiencing some sort of problems. Here are the first steps of home diagnostics you can do before going to the vet:

Check your dogs Mouth

• First thing you should do is check your dogs mouth to ensure that all is well inside. Look if there are any tooth that may be rotting or chipped. Check the tongue and gum line for any lesions or swellings. If possible, look deep into the dogs throat to see if the back of the throat has any other color that red. But seeing red in the dogs throat doesn't necessary mean that everything is OK there. Dogs can have a sore throat too.

Body Check

• Gently feel all over your dogs body and slightly push on stomach or any other soft area to see if your dog is experiencing any internal pains within this area. You can cut down the vet check list by finding anything out of norm with your dog and informing the vet.

Need To Know illness
Many people forget that certain medication may trigger certain symptoms also. Dd the dog recently get a vaccination and is having a fever. Vaccines are known to cause this. Is your dog currently under any medication? If so consult the vet about the side effects of these medication. Have you introduced anything new into your dog's diet such as vitamins? Always check to see if  there are any side effects of these items. It could be that your dog metabolism just does not agree with these items. Your dog could also be experiencing internal problems such as liver problems or bowel problems.

Depression in Dogs
Some dogs actually go through doggy depression. Depression can be caused from separation anxiety. Ill treatment of the animal, dog has been scared by other dogs or person. The depression will cause your dog to lack lust and may become quite picky when eating over the period of which the depression last. Many dogs will most likely don't eat when they go through this process.

Bring Your Dog To The Vet
If you notice after two or three days your dog does not pick up on it's eating habits and still only eats a few scraps from the bowl, the next move is to bring in the dog to the vet and let the expert diagnose the situation. Do not sit around too long until the problem escalates. Your dog used to munch down and now he has stopped. This is a sure sign of some illness

What Not To Do

1. Do not run to the pet store and buy vitamins and start giving them to your dog or any form of appetite booster until you are given the clear by your vet. Yo could be making the situation worst.
   
2. Do not run to the pet store and purchase a different brand of dog food thing it must be the food. If your dog was chowing down fine on the previous brand, a change in liking of food would not come abrupt.
   
3. Do Not wait too long before visiting the vet. This could have dier consequences.
   

If you have ever been driving your car pass a bunch of street dogs or just simply standing and watching you will notice that the dogs seem to have a liking to the cars that pass. They will run at the car and bark furiously until the car either stops or is out of their reach. But what is it about cars or any other moving equipment that triggers this effect by our dogs. Dog Chase Cars
Dogs chase cars because they are fascinated with spinning and moving objects. There is just this thing about objects spinning, running or moving which entices dogs. If you took  off the wheels off the car the dogs bark at and run them down the road you will notice that the dogs will still chase and bark at those car wheels. It is actually the movement which fascinates the dogs. For example, a dog will more likely to chase you if you run from it than if you simply walked away. Dogs are natural chasers and they welcome the run. While some dogs me see this as just playing, more serious dogs will run down a object or person and if possible hold on to that object until told to release. Dogs like the idea of running at an object and catching it. They see this as a challenge and will welcome it whole heatedly.

The French Bull dog, affectionately called "frenchie," is a small, muscular, and compact bull dog. It is not a big dog as it stands about 12 at the withers and normally weighs between 17 and 27 pounds. The French Bull dog is said to have some resemblance to the mastiff and is also nicknamed the dwarf mastiff.  The French Bulldog has a broad, square head, very short muzzle, and large bat ears. Its face is more pleasant and open than that of the English Bulldog and the wrinkling is not as heavy. The lower jaw is undershot and the tail is naturally abbreviated. The usual coat colors of the Frenchie are brindle, white, brindle and white, and fawn.

Temperament
If you are looking for a nice and pleasant dog, think frenchie. They make good pets with their pleasant personality. This dog is a family dog and quickly forms bonds with family members. Just like a child, the french bull dog is an attention lover and requires lots of it.  As if being cute and affectionate wasn't enough to melt any owner's heart, the french bulldog is no ice brain as it exhibits very good intelligence. It loves to play but will quickly transcend from home clown to home guard to protect the family.  The french bull dog requires lots of attention, so if you have another pet around you must ensure that you balance those love and attention as the frenchie may get very jealous, and being jealous and end up two ways.
 
Living Conditions
This is not a tropics dog as the frenchie simply hates being hot. The french bulldog is very sensitive to excess heat or excess cold and is totally a indoor dog. They are quite at home in apartments and doesn't mind the indoors as they like to be close to their owners.  One thing all pet owners must always be aware of is that indoor dogs do not get as much natural exercise as outdoor dogs and hence requires routine walks to remain fit.

Health Issues
Health, something we have to pay keen attention to is that the french bulldog has a common disease such as excess snoring and Von Willebrand's Disease.  Because of their short face, most French Bulldogs snort, snuffle, wheeze, grunt, and snore loudly. The sounds are endearing to some people; nerve-wracking to others. Slobbering. Some French Bulldogs, especially those with loose jowls, slobber water when they drink. Von Willebrand disease (VWD) is a genetic disorder caused by missing or defective von Willebrand factor (VWF), a clotting protein. VWF binds factor VIII, a key clotting protein, and platelets in blood vessel walls, which help form a platelet plug during the clotting process. The condition is named after Finnish physician Erik von Willebrand, a who first described it in the 1920s.
 Symptoms of this Disease are:

• Excessive Bleeding from small round or scratch.

Grooming
If you take a good look at a french bulldog you will notice a lot of facial wrinkles, always remember to keep between wrinkles clean. Always clean between the wrinkles at bath time or if the dog manages to soil its face excessively. The french bulldog as nice strait coat and may require grooming at least once a week. Just like the facial wrinkles, ensure that the ears are also kept clean and nails groomed. You can use a soft cloth with water to simply clean between wrinkles and ears on your frenchie.

Nutrition
As with most dogs, the french Bull dog is an eater. Ensure that you feed this dog at least twice per day. It is best to have a mixture of raw food (meat) along with dried food for your french bull dog. High-quality dry food is recommended for French Bulldogs when a nutritionally balanced meat-based diet is not available.

French Bull Dog Coat of Many Colors
Not all French Bulldogs are created equally it seems. There are a few varitions in french bulldog colors which may drive up the cost of purchasing this cute little critter. The most common frenchie colors are; Brindle with white, brindle with various color combination.
