So what is all the hallabaloo about feeding your dog raw meat? May i remind dog owners that despite how cute and cuddly our dogs are, they are still dogs and have properties which makes them be defined as a dog. It is said that dogs are descendants from the wolf family, they are natural carnivores and if not for the taming of these animals, they would have been hunting for their own meals. Man has played his part in breeding out most of the wolf DNA out of the dog family. Just look at the many groups of dog which have been bred, you have small dogs, wolf dogs, security dogs, odd dogs, dogs of various colors etc. But despite the differences in all the dog breeds, i can bet you my life savings (which i can tell you is not much) that all dogs love meat, and guess what, the rawer the better it is for your dog. Before our dogs were domesticated, tell me what do you believe their diet consisted of? That's right, pure raw meat and a few vegetation.
Dog Evolution To Processed Food
Many people have argued that because dogs have been eating domesticated food for many centuries, their internal digestive systems have evolved to this type of food and introducing raw meat into your dog's diet will be dangerous. That assumption holds no water. Wild dogs and domesticated ones share the same metabolism. As a matter of fact, domesticated dogs rarely use up many of their wild life features. A dogs jaws and teeth were not meant to eat dry dog foods, they were designed to rip off flesh and cracking of bones. Same like it's forefathers the wolves. Introducing Raw meat t your dog will not do anything bad to it's digestive system, in fact it's system may just thank you for it.

  3. Bacteria From Raw Meat:Your dog's digestive system was made to handle meat bacteria. As long as you do not feed your dog rotting meat, it should be OK.
