He jumps and barks all day
Yapping at the postman in every way
He runs a muck and grabs things with his teeth
But at the end of the day in his dog bed he sleeps
I see him wag his tail and beg for a treat
One doggy cookie coming up, healthy and sweet
He digs holes in the yard and buries bones, slippers and sheets
But at the end of the day in his dog bed he sleeps
He chases the ball and brings back the Frisbee
How can one little dog be so energetic and frisky
When I come home from work he wags his tail and licks me on the cheek
Then when I finish petting him in his dog bed he sleeps
It's feeding time, a moment he just loves no matter what
Giving him the right amount of food so he doesn't get too fat
He jumps onto my lap, we roll on the floor and it creeks
Then when he has had enough fun, in his dog bed he sleeps
My little doggy, so precious and full of life
Just loves to sleep in his dog bed whether it be day or night.
