K9 Teeth Care
K9 Teeth Care
Most dog owners spend thousands of dollars on products for their dogs. Many products include heart health, mental and physical health. But not many dog owners spend enough time on their K9 teeth care. Just like any other mammal, you r dog is equipped with different teeth in it's mouth.  Your dog is a natural carnivore and has teeth made specially for ripping flesh and the grinding of meat. If your dog was in the wild and was a natural hunter, there would be no need for dental care for your dog. But you now own a domesticated dog which feeds on dry dog foods and other artificial products which can easily cause plaque buildup on your dog's teeth.

There are several options available out there to keep your k9 teeth nice, white and healthy. But fiest let me introduce you to the natural method.

1. Feed your dog raw meat and bones.
The gnawing of bones is great to exercise your dogs teeth, gum and jaws.  It also acts as a natural cleaner for your dogs teeth as it rubs against the teeth to remove stains and any other foreign components.

2. Clean Your Dog's Teeth
Yes, there are toothbrushes available for dogs. And there are toothpaste available for dogs also. When dogs were living in the wild, they did not need tooth brush or paste as they hunted and fed on raw meat and bones. The gnawing on bones would help keep the teeth clean by rubbing from side to side. Plus, these fresh meat had no preservative, natural or unnatural which could affect the dogs teeth. When you feed your dog dry food, you have started to diminish your K9 teeth care.

How? well dogs tend to chew on these pebbles into finer grains until it becomes pasty at times. Sometimes these paste remain stuck to back teeth or on top of molars and hence build and form plaque.  The good news is that they have developed much easier ways to keep your dog's teeth clean aside from trying to get your dog mouth open to stick a brush in it. There are healthy oral sprays available witch will help keep your dog's teeth nice white and strong. The choice is yours, Brush or Spray?

Your dog has several sets of teeth just like us humans. There are molars and premolars which are used for grinding tough bones and regular chewing, While canines and incisor are used to rip and tear flesh.  But most pet dogs are fed dried dog food which tends to leave certain residue on the dogs teeth which may lead to plaque buildup.  The dog's teeth will need to be kept clean by it's owner.
