Many people will have their likes and dislikes when it comes on to a particular dog breed to be taken home as a pet. But putting aside little, fuzzy and cute, we have to admit that there are some dogs out there that can be considered to be top dog in their own category. These dogs are chosen as top dogs based upon looks, intelligence, strength, vim vigor and vitality. So here is my list of top dogs.
1. Most Reliable - Siberian Husky
These dogs are some of the strongest and reliable dogs in the world. They are smart and have known to save many lives out their in the cold. They have the ability to work together as a group to achieve their golds. They are smart breed and can be called upon to carry out the toughest of task.

2. Strongest Dog - Mastiff

Talking about pound for pound, the mastiff was measured to have a bit of over 550pounds per square Inch (PSI). That my friends is one strong dog, that bite power is also equivalent to that of the king of the jungle, the roaring lion. The mastiff not only has a strong bite, it also has the entire package. They have been known to compete  in  weight pulling. The mastiff is naturally strong and rarely needs much exercise to maintain its strength.

3. Fastest Dog - Grey Hound
This is an absolute no competition. The Greyhound is the fastest dog breed on the planet. The greyhound was born to run with its aerodynamic body structure. The greyhound has  long legs and a lean body with pointed head, making it the ultimate animal racer. The breed has been clocked at speeds up to 45- 48 miles per hour. That my friends is pretty fast for the flesh to run.

4. Bravest Dog - German Shepherd

This dog has made a name for itself. It is one of the most sought after dogs as it relates to guarding and police duties. Don't believe that you can intimidate this brave one so easily. German shepherds are like the leader of the dog world, they have a touch of everything. Bravery, strength, obedient, loving. What more would you want in a dig? These dogs have been known to give their own life by protecting their owners or police partners.

5. Most Intelligent -  Border Collie
So how is the intelligence of a dog measured? Well, how well does a dog absorb a command and carries it out efficiently. Then uses his/her own intelligence to get things done. This is basically how a dog's intelligence is measured.
The Border Collie was bred to guard livestock, mainly sheep, and it showed superior obedience and excelled in training and any activity that requires athleticism and the use of it's brain.

6. Cutest - Pomeranian dog
Talking about melting the heart of even the toughest biker gang. The Pomeranian is a small dog breed or toy dogs. This dog has a fluffy coat and, let me repeat myself, a very cute face.

7. Laziest Dog - English Bulldog
Talk about being a couch potato. The English bulldog has no issues slouching around all day skipping through the reality shows on television.  They rarely needs exercise and pretty much don't mind having any at all. The English bulldog is like that child that just lounges around and not wanting to do anything even though he is 40!

8. Greediest Dog - Labrador

Some dog owners would say, "All dogs are greedy." But don't get loving to eat and greedy meaning the same thing. A dog like any other animal will eat it's fill. But there are certain dog breed that thinks it was born with four stomachs.  The Labrador knows no bounds when it comes on to chowing down. If you put a Labrador in  dog food mill, you may just run out of business as you may not have any dog food to sell. Labradors will eat their fill and the fill of the next 5 dogs you may be feeding. Hands down to the Labrador as the greediest dog.

9.Funniest Looking Dog - Bedlington Terrier
Is it a goat, is it a sheep? No its actually a dog! This dog does not shed. it has woolly hair, a wedge-shaped head, tassels dangling from the ears (when groomed) and triangular eyes. I am actually surprised it barks and not bleats.  If you live out in the country where ther are foxes and wolves, it is not a good idea to have the Bedlington around as it might just be mistaken for dinner.

10. Most Feared Dog Breed - Pit-bull
What would a top ten list be without the feared pit-bull? So why is pit-bull so much a feared dog across the planet? Well, because statistically they are responsible for more mauls and bites than any other dog. Pit-bulls have to have the proper training from the beginning to let the aggressive side become much more docile. Statistics show that many attacks by pit-bulls were also unprovoked. The thing is, pit-bulls are bred by unscrupulous people to dog fight. Then they take that aggressive dog and breed that dog so the aggression can live on. Pit-bulls need constant attention and affection. If improperly trained, they can become dangerous weapons. It also takes a string owner to raise certain pit-bulls.
