Losing a pet can be an extremely sad and difficult event. After all, pets such as cats, dogs, and horses can feel like genuine family members. So, oftentimes, many people go through a strong grieving period when they lose a pet. If someone you are close with, such as a girlfriend has recently lost a pet, then you should try to help him or her heal from the loss.

One of the best ways that you can help a person to get over the loss of a pet is to buy a custom pet portrait painting. Custom pet portrait paintings made by the artists at PaintYourLIfe.com are exceptionally beautiful and realistic. To order a custom pet portrait, you just have to submit a picture of the pet to one of our artists and he or she will draw a stunning pet portrait for you.

Pet portraits are a wonderful way to immortalize the particular pet for all time. Once your girlfriend, your friend, your family member, etc. receives the pet portrait, he or she can hang it up on his or her wall in his or her home. Just being able to see the pet’s face every day can really help to make the person feel better.

Thomas Paint Your Life Story

Custom Pet Portrait Paintings: Painting of woman and her dog
Custom Pet Portrait Paintings: Painting of woman and her dog
Thomas’s wife recently lost a dog. When the dog died, she was incredibly sad and was struggling to cope with the loss. Thomas felt very sorry for his wife and he wanted to do something to make her feel better. After doing some research, he came across Paint Your Life’s custom pet portrait paintings. He decided that this would be the perfect gesture. So, he commissioned a painting of his wife sitting with her dog that was based on a photo. Here is what Thomas had to say about his

Paint Your Life experience:

“We were absolutely thrilled with our experience with Paint Your Life! My wife absolutely loves the painting and it has provided a beautiful memory of a cherished pet that we miss deeply. Somehow, this painting made that loss a little easier. Thank you!”

As you can see from the image, the painting that we made for Thomas’s wife is exceptionally beautiful. It also helps to display the affection that the woman had for the dog. She will be able to cherish the memory of her dog forever now thanks to the painting that her husband commissioned for her.

Moving On from Loss
Sometimes, part of the reason why people struggle to move on from loss is because they feel that the identity of the person or animal whom they have lost has not been immortalized properly. Here at Paint Your Life, we put tremendous care and effort into creating the most beautiful paintings possible in order to help people to immortalize the ones they can about and have lost.

There is something truly special and powerful about a custom pet portrait that helps people to move on after they have experienced a loss. This is because a custom painting is one of the absolute best ways to immortalize a person or a pet.

When people receive custom pet portraits or custom individual portraits, they can display them proudly on their walls at home or in their office and feel like they have done what was necessary to make sure the animal or person’s memory is honored. There may be nothing that we can do to prevent losing people and animals. But with the help of Paint Your Life, their memory can be properly immortalized.

How to make your Dog Relax and Possibly Fall into Sleep

Dog Relaxing
Dog Relaxing
There they go. Running and barking and growling and biting. Wagging and bragging and jumping and licking. Playing and swaying and pooping and sleeping. Yep, that sums up a dog alright. Dogs will be dogs as one author put it. They love being dogs and that is for sure. I believe that dogs sometimes wonder how come everything else are not dogs since they are so cool.  But one thing for sure is that dogs love comfort and relaxation. Yes, dogs loved to be pampered and petted by their devoted masters. After years of pampering and petting my own dogs, I realise that that petting a certain area of your dog allows them to be much more relaxed and some have even fallen asleep while getting this secret petting area petted.
That secret Petting Area.
Here is the big secret in petting your dog to make him/her calm, relax and maybe even fall asleep. Placer your hand on the head of the dog and begin to rub the dogs head from to back. Do this slowly and stroke for about 20 times. Use your thumb and your middle finger and create a crane hold behind the ears of your dog and begin to move in an up and down gentle motion. Your dog will soon begin to feel the effect of this relaxation.  The next secret petting move is to begin to rub under your dog’s neck and gently rub under the dogs chin. Repeat all the petting procedures given in this paragraph and watch your canine pal be relaxed in tranquility.

The Lay down Underbelly Rub
This petting technique has been practiced by sacred Buddhist monks for decades. Now I will tell you the oblivious dog owner about this secret dog petting technique. When your dog is laying down, just go over to the animal and begin to rub the animal’s side. Gentle stroking from top to bottom, once the dog gets relaxed enough, it will most likely role over on its back and open its legs. Just rub the underbelly of the animal and watch all the enlightenment happen.
Once you have mastered these techniques, you can make your anxious dog relax easily. As a matter of fact, you can make any dog relax easily. Just remember not to try this when dogs are having a dog fight as you may need a good water hose to calm them down. Cheers and happy petting.

Once Upon A Time I Was A Dog - Dog Poem

Dog Poem
Dog Poem - I was Once A Dog
Once upon a time before I became human i was a dog.
My memory brings me back into my first owner’s yard
I can see through my doggy eyes pretty clear
All the fun I had over there
My owner was a middle aged white guy who lived alone
And on weekends he was sure to hand me a ham bone
He would take me for long walks on the beach
And allow me to curdle at his feet.

I remember myself as a pooch and it was sparkling
How I used to find fun bark at the other dogs barking
I chased squirrels and once a cat up a tree
And on a fire hydrant I enjoyed a pee
I once caught a few tick which gave me the hitch
All because I meddled with a bitch
But my master took care of that right away
Now I am hitch free all the way.

One late night while we were inside something spooky occurred
My master was reading a book and I was looking at the bird
I heard a bang on the back door and jumped up and looked at him
Then he jumped up to see what the heck was banging
He turned on the lights and saw a burglar out back
I became furious and wanted to attack
When the thief heard my barks from inside he panicked and fled
As bites from my teeth would have made him bled

I remember clearly when master brought me to the vet
And told her that I was his loving pet
The vet gave me an injection and a few doggy treats
And in no time i was back on my feet
I remember being a dog at that time was great
But now I am a boring human for goodness sake.
