Unconditional Love; A Dog's Poem

There he lay wrapped in bandages
He jumped in front the gun and saved his owners life
He defended unconditionally from the savages
He did what he thought was right

A dog's love is unquestionable, as many will see
They will love you till the very end
A true companion with wagging tail and glee
Undoubtedly a man's best friend

There she goes, leading the blind
For many years she has been her eyes
A dog with a big heart, gentle and kind
Unconditional love, not asking for a gift or a prize

She guides her to safety, and all she needs is a pat
As she laid on the deck, taking a doggy nap
She doubles up as security, and alerts on strangers
Protecting her owner like the baby in the manger.

He plays with the Frisbee and plays catch with the kids
A  family dog, yet very protective
This dog's unconditional love is something to admire
​A truthful companion, never a liar.

All Dogs go to heaven
That really says a lot
How big of a love
​all dogs got.
