Not because your pooche is a toy dog breed means that it has to be wingy and weak. Your dog can be strong in its class and may even feel as strong as many larger dog breeds. But what does it mean to make your dog strong and how do you go about making your dog a strong dog. Well, strength in dog means more than the dog being able to do 200 push ups without breaking a whimper. Strength in dog means, good mental health and of course physical health and intelligence. When all these match up to a satisfactory level, one can say that they have a strong dog. Let us now look at the different levels of strength in your dog and how to increase that strength.

Mental Strength
Having a smart dog is the beginning of having a strong dog. You can increase your dog's mental capacity by training the dog to be aware and alert and better yet, to make decisive decisions.  There is a unique brain training program available that can turn your dog into a genius by using games and other methods.  Don't bully your dog, ensure your dog is comfortable around you and other people.
Physical Strength
  • Health Strength
Sometimes this gets way over our heads as we don't really have a say in what ailments may come down on our dogs. But we can do a lot of good things for our dog to ensure that the animal remains physically healthy in order to be physically strong.

  • Exercise
If you keep feeding your dog and ushering your pet off to bed your dog will simply become fat and lazy. Dogs are playful and curious animals and do enjoy their walk, run or playtime. Ensure that your dog(s) get enough exercise to help build muscles and keep the animal physically fit and ready at all times.

  • Diet
Your dogs diet will directly contribute to the physical strength of the animal as if your dog is not fed right and fed on time, and fed consistently, this can lead to the direct deterioration of your dog's physical strength. Give your dog high quality dog foods. Ensure that you don't just feed your dog dry food. But cook some great home made dog foods or get some canned wet food for the canine.
  • Preventative Supplements
There are many natural herbal supplements which are created for your dog which ensure that your dog's heart, lunges, brain and just about all internal organs are kept nice and healthy. Many of these supplements are also used to cure many ailments which your dog may have. It is always good to consult a vet when going this route.
